There is no graphics card. Apple laptops integrate te graphics into the logic board. Test with an external monitor to verify that it isn't just your LCD screen.

As always the Apple products are proprietary and DISPLAY post has issues. Disregard all the testing with other adapters and displays and replace the inverter first, it is the cheaper option.

Hi my MacBook pro screen isn't working. Any solutions?

Have you connect your macbook to an external monitor? If this works then it might not be too bad (lcd inverter) but if no signal comes to the external monitor then it might be bad. Try this 1st before doing anything else.

Macbook pro screen boots to black. tried rebooting, screen comes on then goes black again. This happened after I unplugged it from a dell projector. Any suggestions???

Try pulling the battery out then holding the power button for 10 seconds. Put the battery back in.

If not search macbook pro recall apple has extended the warranty on some models due to a bad graphics card.

Dell 3400mp not getting signal from Macbook

If you were using the Apple S-video adapter to connect to your Dell projector, please realize that MacBook models with NVIDIA graphics cards do not support this adapter. Otherwise, please be more specific about what model Mac you have and what adapter cable you are using.

I can not open the full screen in my macbook

i can't be positive, but it sounds likely that your graphics card needs replacing. i'd give AppleCare a call - especially if you have an active AppleCare service plan for that machine - and ask them to help you troubleshoot the problem. they determined that my graphics card in my Mac Pro was kablooie right over the phone and made arrangements to send me a replacement.
the number for the AppleCare service and support line is 1-800-APL-CARE (1-800-275-2273).
hope this helps. good luck!
