Car will not start, turns over good, replaced battery and neg battery cable and crankshaft sensor.... smell gas when cranking... can hear fuel pump clicking before trying to start.

have you replaced coil pack? Check EGR passage through upper mainfold and make sure clean. also make sure EGR valve not stuck part way open. Also check crank and cam sensors along with MAF.

Have you checked that you have power to the coil on cranking? You may also want to check wether you have a good strong spark at the spark plug.It could be an ignition module breaking down.If you have no power to the coil you may need to change the ignition relay. Its close to the battery.

put a small amount of fuel in the intake near the throttle plate then crank and see if it fires, if it does then it's a fuel problem, if it does not fire then pull a plug wire and put a philips head screw driver into the plug wire hold it 1/4 inch away from a good ground then have someone crank it over, you should see spark and it should be blue, if not then you have a ignition problem a bad coil or cam sensor but need to know what you found out on the two tests I told you first to give you a direction to go.

it's possible you have a clogged fuel filer. change it out and try the thumb plugging again.
