have you replaced coil pack? Check EGR passage through upper mainfold and make sure clean. also make sure EGR valve not stuck part way open. Also check crank and cam sensors along with MAF.

Have you checked that you have power to the coil on cranking? You may also want to check wether you have a good strong spark at the spark plug.It could be an ignition module breaking down.If you have no power to the coil you may need to change the ignition relay. Its close to the battery.

SOURCE: cranks but won't start fuel pump not coming on

put a small amount of fuel in the intake near the throttle plate then crank and see if it fires, if it does then it's a fuel problem, if it does not fire then pull a plug wire and put a philips head screw driver into the plug wire hold it 1/4 inch away from a good ground then have someone crank it over, you should see spark and it should be blue, if not then you have a ignition problem a bad coil or cam sensor but need to know what you found out on the two tests I told you first to give you a direction to go.

Hey guys, my caravan started this morning then shut off and won't start again. Heres what I did so far checked fuel pump fuse good, fuel pump relay good swapped with other. Removed neg battery cab

If you have voltage at the fuse and relay, and at the pump, but no fuel pressure, I would say the pump has died or the tank is empty.
Have you checked for voltage at the pump yet ?

98 gmc safari. Starts sometimes and doesn't other times. Fuel pump tests fine, new fuel filter and crankshaft sensor. Can't afford to keep doing process of elimination.

Check battery cables at battery may be loose or corroded don't disconnect unless memory is maintained always remove neg first and don't reconnect until pos is connected and tight

If you have no spark, the most likely problem is a bad crankshaft position sensor. it is mounted on the bellhousing. below intake/exhaust manifold. held in by 1 bolt. A new CrankShaft position sensor should come with a small pice of heavy paper/ thin cardboard to use to set proper air gap between flywheel and sensor.
