Hello - Does the unit make a humming noise? If so, either the drainage hose/pump is clogged and needs to be cleaned. If not, the washer may possibly be experiencing an issue with the door lock assembly, faulty pump, timer or control board not communicating correctly. Contact a professional to move forward accurately to properly diagnose and repair the unit.

For that model you should just be going through the front. There are 2 phillips screws at the bottom of the front panel. After you remove those, you will need to slide the front panel down. (sometimes insreting a large flat head screw driver between the top washer panel and the front washer panel will help ease it off). The pump on this one is one of the easier one's to clean. Use a shop vacume or just bail the water out by hand to remove as much as possible. Follow the large black hose running down from your tub to the white plastic looking peice. That is your pump. The are 2 5/16 screws holding it down. Remove these to make your work easier and cleaner. Also remove the connector/ wires that plug into the side of the pump. Once removed raise your pump up and slide a large, flat container underneath. Squeeze the clamp on the hose and slide it further back up the hose. Now, SLOWLY start working the hose off in a rocking motion. Just a little pressure here. Now as it strats to work off, the rest of the water will start to come out. Drain it a little at a time. Work the hose back on if you have to go empty your container. Once all of the water has been removed, pull the hose the rest of the way off. Do you see anything blocking it? No? Remove the hose coming back out of the pump as well. Still nothing? Try removing the hose that goes between the tub and the pump up by the tub this time. Nothing yet? Try plugging the pump back in and setting it to a spin/ drain cycle. (make sure you are not on the part of the cycle that adds water or there will be a mess) Once you are on the spin/ drain cycle, look into the pump. Is the paddle wheel looking piece inside moving? If it is not, and there are no forign objects in there, it may be time to replace the pump itself.

SOURCE: Water isn't being pumped out. Does have power.

I assume you are referring to a drainage issue within the unit. check the following below.

1. Clogged drain line or water pump
Check to see if there's something stuck inside the pump or the drain hose connected to the pump (pump is usually located at the bottom and towards the back of the washing machine).

2. Water Pump
If the drain line isn't clogged, you may have a problem with the water pump such as a frozen pulley or a broken impeller. If that's the case replace the water pump. Note: if you have a belt driven washer, check the belt(s) for cracks, as this would be a perfect time to replace the belt(s) if needed.

SOURCE: Frigidaire Washer Model #WILL-1 - won't spin or pump out water

Can you access the location of you motor?

try to open the back and unscrew the cover and see if you can see the motor, try to start it but don't get near to much just enought to see if it is moving or not.

if it still running and rotating see the belt maybe it is too loose or maybe it is to tight,

But if it just humming, turn it off and unplug, see if you can rotate the motor with your hand, if you can then you'll need a starting capacitor, you got to buy one and install.

But if it is hard to turn even without a load, then you'll need to bring your motor to a service center to check for the bushing and shafting and lubrication.

your motor winding is still ok since you heard a humming sound, that problem would be the mechanical part.

That is not the solution.

Start the machine and immediatly press the "Start" and "Pause/cancel" button at the same time. Then you will get and ERROR code. Look on the cheat sheet packed with the machine to find out what is really wrong. That will give you the real answer.

Hi Stacey C - Does the drain pump make a humming noise? If so, you possibly have a restriction in the drain line or siphoning. Try setting the cycle to spin only and verify if water pumps out. Supposing that it does not, I would suggest contacting a professional to diagnose either the pump or timer.

We have a frigidaire front load washer about 3 years old. We moved and has been sitting for about 2 months now. Just tried to plug it in and use it and it will fill with water and stop. Now it's not...

The first thing to check is your water supply lines and make sure there is no sediment build up.You may need to replace the main control board, also check to make sure the drain pump is not block or restricted.
make sure you have the proper voltage to the machine.

Check to see if drain pump motor is obstructed. It can cause the oddest problems if not working right.

Washer not draining water

It is likely that something is stopping the pump from operating. Most machines allow access to the pump to remove coins etc which can stop the pump operating

Frigidaire front washer has power but won't fill up, drain or go through correct cycles

You'll very likely have something caught in your drain pump. First set the washer to drain and spin. If you hear a hum or grinding noise and the water in the tub isn't draining or it's draining slowly you have something in the pump. If you take the rear panel off you'll reveal the drain pump at the right front corner or maybe middle on this model. if you empty all the water from your machine you can take off the spring clamp (this can be tricky) attaching the thick rubber hose from your tub to your drain pump. (you may want to have some old towels ready) With this off you can feel around for what's blocking the drain pump's impeller. You may want to take the screws out that secure the drain pump to the base and the other spring clamp that attaches the drain hose to the drain pump. Good luck!
