Since a descaling activity (have done in the past with success) steam trickles out vs. how it performed previously. Even if I take off the wand and just observe what comes from the base pipe coming from the core housing, the pressure is minimal.

Re: Steam Trickles Since Descaling
The machine is blocked at the location where the steam valve sits on the boiler with the 2 screws. You will need to get a new gasket before you dismantle this part, just in case it is always prudent to replace it, here is the part number GA-DM0041/088.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Normally when water is put inside steam irons, it get stored in tank then if thermostat knob is set for steam then water moves to bottom heated portion of iron. Water converts to steam as base plate is hot, heated steam comes out through perforated holes. If holes are blocked due to scale formation steam flow is blocked. The descaling has to be done as per instructions given on descaling wax manufacturer. sometimes if water does not enter through a rubber washer that is water tank to heated bottom portion then also steam will not get generated hence no steam. Please check above points and identify the problem.

Approximately every 3 months (depending on your use and the water hardness), clean the machine with natural citric acid based decalcifying agent. 1. Add a descaling solution into the water reservoir. Mix thoroughly to dissolve (use warm water for better results). 2. Remove the filter holder and place a cup under the group head and another cup, or other container, under the steam wand to catch cleaning solution. 3. Turn espresso machine on, turn coffee pump on and run approximately 8 oz. of solution through the brew head. Turn machine off and let the machine sit for 15 minutes. 4.Run approximately 8 oz. through the steam wand, and again, turn machine off and let sit for 15 minutes. Repeat by allowing solution to run alternately through the steam wand and brew head. Turn espresso machine off after each cycle. Repeat process until solution has been run through. 5. Do not leave espresso machine on. Do not wait for the ready light to come on. Do not use the steam switch during this process. Do not allow reservoir to run empty! 6. Rinse reservoir thoroughly with fresh water. Refill reservoir with fresh water. Run half a tank of fresh water through group head, alternating between group head and steam wand.
I put this next statement in so your machine will last longer.
Enter the menu by pressing the menu button. Scroll down until you reach "water hardness" and then press the menu button to activate. Scroll down to the hardness of your water (chose 4 to be safe) and press the menu button again for the computer to remember. Push escape (esc.) and scroll to "Descale) about 4 up from water hardness, and push enter. To descale your Magic Comfort +, enter the menu and scroll to descale. Push the menu button to descale. Mix your solution in your water tank. Use warm to hot water and dissolve all the solution. Place the water tank on your machine. With a container under the steam wand that is large enough to catch all the water in the tank, you are ready to begin. To start the descaling process, open the steam knob. The machine will automatically start the descaling process and when it is finished, it will shut off and tell you that it needs to be rinsed. Remove the water tank and rinse with fresh water. Refill the water tank and place it on the machine. Turn off the machine, wait a moment, and then turn it back on. Press the hot water button to start pumping fresh water through the boiler. Pump out about 16 oz. of water and then turn off the hot water button and open the steam knob to rinse the steam boiler. When it starts to go to steam, turn off and turn on the hot water button again. Pump out another 16 oz. Repeat this process with the steam knob until you have emptied the water tank. Descaling is complete. Go to your menu and scroll to "reset descale", push the enter button and chose "Yes" and push the enter button. Now it will tell you we next to be descaled.
Probably the steam outlet tube from the boiler is blocked with the calcium bits which doesn't dissolved completely. Put descaling solution in water tank and do hot water and steam alternatively.(hot descaling).Make sure you put a jug of water to catch the steam( gas) in the steam wand After doing for about 5 mins, do the normal descaling and rinsing. Hope it helps. If not.......you may have to open the machine and removed the blockage physically.
