Most likely your hard drive is going to fail in a short time. Back up all importanta data on it, then check its health using a software ("Hdd health" for example) that can read the S.M.A.R.T. data your hard drive collects.

Hard drive making noise and monitor not coming on

Hi Sharon,
This is a rather unfortunate problem as the monitor not coming on and the hard drive making a noise are not usually related.
A noise coming from the hard drive is usually a sign of impending hard drive failure.
The monitor problem could be as a result of a faulty graphics card, RAM memory that needs cleaning and/or replacing, a faulty CPU or a damaged motherboard.
Your best bet would be to take the entire PC to your local PC repair shop & request a damage assessment and quotation.
Let me know if you need any further advice or assistance.
Best wishes,

You are obviously talking about hard drives. The clicking noise you describe is the worst noise you would want to hear from a hard drive. A clicking noise is the sound of the read/write head hitting the stop at the center of the drive. Your drives are broken and need to be replaced.

Makes strange noises & it is coming from the hard drive location. is taking too long to start & to operate.

If the noises are coming from the hard drive, these sounds usually mean the hard drive is getting ready to give out. These noises are generated by the read/write arm dragging across the platers that are inside or the platter spindle bearing is going out. There is no way to repair them. This will also cause the computer to operate more slowly as the computer must put together the pieces of information it needs to operate. I would recommend backing up all information before it fails then replacing the hard drive.

Blank screen

Any hard disk that makes clicking or metallic noises is faulty, especially when POST error message no bootable devices detected.
To confirm go into the BIOS setting and see if the hard drive is detected, if it cannot detect the hard drive then it is definitely faulty.
Replace the hard drive and install Windows on the new hard drive to get the computer working again.

U heare a noise and the moniter wort turn on

Please confirm if the noise is coming from the monitor of from the desktop. If the buzzing noise is coming from the monitor - i suggest to request for a replacement. If not it could be a noise coming from the desktop system fan or from the hard drive.

If you hear like a clicking noise coming from the hard drive you may need to run diagnostics on it to check if the hard drive is failing. check with your computer manufacturer is your system still under warranty for parts replacement.

Keep me posted.
