My husband just needs to know where is the location of the starter relay on our '97 chevy Blazer 4.3 engine, 4x4? Is it near the passenger side or the drivers side?

When you go to start the engine you are actually sending power from the ignition switch through a 20 amp fuse [crank fuse] then through the Park/Nuetral safety start switch and finally to the starter relay [located at the center rear of the engine compartment] This relay then sends a more powerful current flow down to the starter solenoid located on top of the the starter which then closes and allows full battery voltage from the large battery cable to energize and spin the starter. I don't think I've ever had to replace a starter relay on these but have replaced a large number of starters with bad solenoids and bad Park/nuetral switches. The "crank" fuse could also be bad but that is also pretty rare.

280 LX won't start. Won't even click or turn over. Battery is fully charged. The trouble shooting manual notes it could be an ignition system fuse, and to contact a Deere serviceman. Is there an in-line...

i am currently working on an old jd 111 and the fuse is located under the starter solinoid, check there. The starter solinoid should not be located on the starter, track back the thick red wire on the starter to the solinoid to locate, it will be systematically located between the battery and the starter, check the starter solinoid functional with a meter and if that does not find it at the fuse and solinoid you will need to check the ignition switch input to the solinoid, and work back to the switch and any interlocks

2002 GMC Envoy, i put the key in ignition and vehicle will not start sometimes and other times is starts fine. we have checked the starter, battery and battery connections, all fine. Changed the starter...

Ignition switch and neutral safety switch. Next time it happens wiggle thekeys in the ignition switch and try to restart. If it starts its probably the ignition switch. Then locate neutral safety switch on brake pedal and put meter on B+ wire from switch to starter relay and see if you get B+ on the would -be- crank. Next locate B+ wire from starter relay to starter hook a meter to it and see if you get B+ on the would -be crank.
Where ever B+ is missing is your problem.
