Two-stroke oil with a 50:1 (Gas:Oil) mix ratio is required for the Husqvarna 125B leaf blower. Using the wrong oil or improper mixture ratio can drastically affect the performance of the leaf blower.

Does this engine require mix gas?

Peter
you are too short on details like make model , 2 stroke or 4 stroke
read your user manual or look on the petrol cap as most have the ratio on the bowser emblem
so for an answer, it is most likely a 2 stroke and so-- yes-- it will require a oil/fuel mix in the tank
if you do not know it , start with a ratio of 40:1 ( 40 fuel -1 oil) and only use 2 stroke oil not normal engine oil
run at rpms and there should be a trace of blue smoke
too much smoke cut the oil back to 50:1 and no smoke increase the oil to 30:1
go google and type in user manual for ( make and model ) --and the ratio will be in that print put

Oil petrol mixture for Rockwell 26cc weedeater

Two cycle engines run on a mixture of gasoline and oil. Each engine type is designed to run on a specific gas-to-oil mix ratio.
IMPORTANT: Use only oil that is labeled for use in "Two-cycle" or "Two-stroke" engines. Home Depot and other stores now have "premixed fuel" of gas and 2 cycle oil.
To mix two-cycle fuel, start by putting correct amount of oil in gas can. Then slowly add correct amount of gasoline. Do not try to mix gas and oil directly in gas tank of equipment.

IMPORTANT: Do not use any fuel that is over 30 days old. Do not mix more fuel than you are likely to use in a month. Old fuel can gum carburetors and prevent starting. Always use fresh fuel.

The chart below shows correct amount of oil per gallon that each mixing ratio requires. Expect that yours will be between 32 gas to1 oil and 50 to 1. 32:1 and 50:1 are most popular.
Ratio GAS:OIL UNITED STATES OIL per 1 U.S. GALLON Gasoline
(128 oz.)
*INTERNATIONAL OIL per 1 IMPERIAL GALLON Gasoline
(160 oz.)
*INTERNATIONAL OIL per 1 LITER Gasoline
(metric)
32:1 4 oz. 5 oz. 31.25 mL 40:1 3.2 oz. 4 oz. 25 mL 50:1 2.6 oz. 3.2 oz. 20 mL

What type of gas to use in a craftsman edger 358.773110

FUELING ENGINE This engine is certified to operate on unleaded gasoline. Before operation, gasoline must be mixed with a good quality 2-cycle air*cooled engine oil. We recommend Craftsman brand oil. Mix gasoline and oil at a ratio of 40:1 (A 40:1 ratio is obtained by mixing 3.2 ounces of oil with 1 gallon of unleaded gasoline). DO NOT use automotive oil or boat oil. These oils will cause engine damage. When mixing fuel, follow instructions printed on container. Once oil is added to gasoline, shake container momentarily to assure that the fuel is thoroughly mixed. Always read and follow the safety rules relating to fuel before fueling your unit.

Fuel/oil mixture

HELLO THERE AND THANK YOU FOR CHOOSING FIXYA
From Poulan website:
The fuel-oil mixture ratio for all Poulan two-cycle products is 40:1. You can obtain this ratio by mixing 3.2 oz. of oil with one gallon of regular gas. If you have other brands of equipment that require different fuel/oil ratios and you don't want to mix separate fuel cans, you should use the lowest numerical ratio. For example, if you have products requiring 40:1, 50:1, and 32:1 ratios you should use the 32:1 ratio for all products. This may cause slight smoke increase in the exhaust in the 40:1 and 50:1 products due to more oil in the fuel, but it won't damage either of the engines.

Just bought a McCulloch 32cc, Mdoel 3214 from a pawn shop with no manual. Does it require mixing oil with the gas and if so what ratio?

Fuel requires 2-cycle oil be added, bar oil is straight from the container.

Oil Mix Ratio:
The following ratios have been recommended for the last 10-15 years.
Dolmar, Echo, Efco, Homelite, Husqvarna, Jonsered, Makita, Oleo-Mac, Red Max, Ryobi, Shindaiwa, Solo, Spear & Jackson, Stihl & Tanaka; all recommend 50:1.
1 gallon of premium fuel to 2.6 ounces of quality 2-cycle oil.
4 liters of premium fuel to 80 milliliters of quality 2-cycle oil.
McCulloch, Poulan & Wen; recommend 40:1.
1 gallon of premium fuel to 3.2 ounces of quality 2-cycle oil.
4 liters of premium fuel to 100 milliliters of quality 2-cycle oil.
Chinese chainsaws recommend 25:1.

I need to know the gas mixture ratio for a craftsman weedwacker

Hello mcguilmd:

>>All Two Stroke Engines will use a 50 to 1 Ratio using Today's Two Stroke Oils. I once had an Old Chainsaw probably from the 1950s, maybe Earlier 70s that had a sticker on it that said to use a 25 to 1 Fuel/Oil Ratio, but that would have been using Two Stroke Oils of the Time Period the Chainsaw was Manufactured. I was having a Problem with Oil Coming Out of the Muffler and Started Decreasing the Oil in the Gas. I Reduced the Oil Until it was a t a 45:1 Ratio and Decided to be Safe, I would Use a 40:1 Ratio Mix. In that Chainsaw I used 50 to 1 Ratio with no problems. Today's Two Stroke Oils compared to Yesteryears are more Efficient at Lubricating. It is like comparing Today's Synthetic Motor Oil to Motor Oils of Decades ago. All the Equipment I use in Landscaping, anything from a Weed Eater, Leaf Blower, Chainsaw, Hedge Trimmer, use 40 to 1 ratio, and I use all types of makes and models, Stihl, Homelite, Husqvarna, Shindaiwa, and Echo, Sears. I mix up a 5 Gallon Fuel can and use it in all of the Equipment for my Customers and for my Landscaping. I like my Fuel/Oil Ratio a Little Heavy, so I use a 40:1 Ratio. The Following was Copied and Pasted here from and MTD E-mail to me when I Asked for the OEMs Suggested Mixture for this Unit. The mixture, as described by the engine manufacturer, is a 50:1 ratio when using the approved types of 2-cycle engine oils.
50:1 ratio is a mix consisting of 2.5 ounces of 2-cycle oil per 1 gallon of gasoline.
The 2-cycle oil used should be approved and have one or more of the following specification titles: NMMA TC-WII, TC-W3, JASO FB, or JASO FC. NOTE: If unsure of the 2-cycle oil specifications, or the oil is not approved, use a 32:1 fuel to oil ratio. This ratio consists of 4 ounces of oil per one gallon of fuel.
NOTE: Always mix 2-cycle fuel oil and fuel in an approved gasoline safe container prior to filling the engine. Make sure to use a separate gas can for this 2-cycle fuel mixture and label it accordingly. Keep in mind that the fuel capacity of these engines normally is less than a gallon, therefore you will have to use this extra oil mixture for multiple fuel fills. Adding a fuel stabilizer will also help to increase the shelf life of fuel.
>>I Suggest Using a 40:1 Ratio and if Oil Starts Coming Out the Muffler then go to a 50:1 Ratio.
Please, Do Not Hesitate, If I Missed Something or you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem, I am Here if You Require More Assistance.
Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Be Safe and Be Happy. Thanks.

Good Luck

Respectfully
