Need help with my Mitsubishi W52525

I thought the lamp had gone out and I got another one. It didn't help, thought maybe that one was bad too, but the replacement didn't work either. Came to this site saw ther was a way to get a reading by holding down the deive and menu buttons. I get a 1-2 blinking Can you help?. The red lamp light comes on when trying to turn on the set.

Yeah, only one. I purchased a new extended contract through Sears (where I originally bought it) and they are going to fix it. Because at last I was at a loss.

My tv mitsubishi wd-60735 turns on for about 2 min. then shuts off and red lamp light turns on,,,The lamp is only 3 months old.. Do I just need to replace bulb again or is it something else???

Don't know if this applys to you but if you have purchased anything but Osram or Philips replacement lamp for your DLP tv then this is probably your problem.. The generic is VERY tempting in this recession but in this case generic is poison to your dlp tv... i have a Mitsubishi 60735 and went thru 2 generic bulbs when my tv kept shutting down on it's own and the lights on front would flash, i could cut it back on for 10 minutes then flicker and shut down again ..well since the bulb was new i thought it may be defective so i got is exchanged for another one ... after all of the post i have seen how much repairs were going to cost on dlp sets no matter what the problem was ..i was ready to chunk the tv out the door when the second lamp was doing the same thing.....!! well a last ditch effort to save my tv before i trashed it or taking it apart to dissect it.. was to buy a brandname lamp ... in my case i purchased a Philips cost twice as much =/ ..i could just return it if it didn't work.. well it was the generic lamps that was causing trouble.. the brandname worked perfectly .. i am just glad the generic lamp didn't do any damage to my TV!!! I have done further research on the generic lamps and realized that the damage it could have done was not worth the money i saved when i purchesed it... Generic is a great deal In some cases (household cleaners, etc..) but in this case GET THE NAME BRAND!!!! the only name brands i know of for these lamps are Philips or Osram/Sylvania.. hope this helps others from this headache. Do your research don't by generic lamp replacements, your DLP set cost to much to risk it.

Red "lamp" light stays on

Red light indicates the lamp has failed to light. You may just need to buy a new lamp. If that does not help then the capacitors on PWB-Power need to be replaced or the lamp ballast itself has gone bad.

I thought the lamp had gone out on my Mitsubishi WD-62825G but after replacing the bulb (2 times) I figure it?s something more as the red light comes on instead of the TV. Called out A+ as they said they...

if is not under warranty then you should buy a new tv. i had 3 lamps, 1 light engine, and they are currently rebuilding the chasis for the second time. i got my tv in 12/04 and got the 5 yearextended warranty THANK GOD! they are spending more time/money to keep repairing this pos than its worth. they could have gotten me a new model and saved everone the hassle. i would not recommend repairing it.
good luck

WD-52525 Shuts off, shows red lamp light even after replacing lamp

maybe your problem is in the power supply circuit of your tv,but then try to replace the flyback first maybe there is no high voltage coming out on the cap.
