In browser profiles pressed restore now cant connect to the net how do i restore my connegtions

You need to get the settings sent to your phone agian from your network provider have a look on their website or give them a ring

From the main screen of your phone open you menu, then messaging, then messaging settings, then multimedia message, then MMS profiles. from there create a new profile and fill in these settings:

Set Name: Straight Talk
Access Name: att.mvno
Auth Type: Normal
User ID: *leave blank*
Password: *leave blank*
Protocol: HTTP
Home URL: http://mmsc.cingular.com
Proxy Address: proxy.mvno.tracfone.com:80
Linger Time: 300
*leave advanced settings alone*

Save your profile and select it using the square on the right of the screen. You should now beable to recive multi-media text messages. Exit out to your phone main screen.
Press menu, then Media Net, then Browser Settings, then Browser Profiles, then select the profile named straight talk by pressing the square on the right side of the screen. You should then be all setup to use all forms of data and messaging on your new Straight Talk plan. I hope this was helpful!

perform a full eeprom reset by pressing *2767*3855#. note all data will be deleted. your phone should be ok again. hope you didnt perform any update before this or did you make root?

Hi, I jst bought Samsung S5233W phone. I cant connect it to the wireless connection in my office or home. What do i need to do to fix this issue?


1.Turn the wifi on from the widget or Main menu>Applications>WiFi
2.Press "Search" to search for available wireless connections.
3.Choose one of the found connections by pressing its icon and choose "connect" option.
4.Go to Main menu>Browser>Settings>Browser profiles, and choose the same connection name that you are currently connected.

By now everything is set and you can use the browser to surf the web, enjoy it :D

No Display. So, I cant see. But profile has chanced. So I want to reset the set now. I want a code to reset/restore factory setting process by pressing only button.


Hi, what makes the phone not to display is because the screen that makes the phone display is bad and not a reset problem,so ones you replaced the screen of the phone, it will display.

there's no problem with your broadband.. try to connect again to your wireless connection.. then if its already connected, go to menu > browser > settings > browser profiles then choose the name of your connection..
after choosing it, restart your mobile then try to browse on the net.. It usually happens to my phone mostly when i try to change connection (browser profiles) or when you get away for a long hours from your wifi range.. hope this may help..

Which media net icon? The media net icon in your menu or the one on the top status bar? Do you have a data or media net plan with AT&T? It probably is showing this just because it is telling you that your data connection is active. You can remove the WAP settings if you would like, that will turn this off.

If you want to try to remove the profile, try this:

Press “Menu” to enter main menu and according the following step to select “Settings” -> “Connectivity” -> “Network” -> “Network Profile” ->“Data connections” -> any profile to be edited -> Press “Options” key -> and delete the profile

Create Data Account:

  • Select Menu
  • Select Services (Sometimes, Entertainment > Services)
  • Select Data Account
  • Select GPRS
  • Select an empty profile
  • Set the Account Name to i-Net
  • Press Options
  • Press Done
  • Set APN to internet or mobileinternet
  • Note: i think it depends on the features on account. Assuming it will be internet for full internet.
  • Press Options
  • Press Done
  • Leave Username and Password blank
  • Set Auth. Type to Normal
  • Press Done
  • Press Save
Create Profile:


  • Select Menu
  • Select Services (Sometimes, Entertainment > Services)
  • Select WAP
  • Select Settings
  • Select Edit Profile
  • Select a profile
  • Choose Edit Profile
  • Rename Profile to i-Net
  • Set Homepage to http://mobileinternet
  • Set Data Account select GPRS
  • Select i-Net

To be able to browse the internet from your Chocolate, you’ll need to set up an access profile first. This tells the phone how to make the connection to the net, which you’ll probably want to do through GPRS for speed and cost effectiveness (but do check how much your provider will be charging).
Go to the main menu, then select browser , settings , profiles
If you don’t have a profile, or you simply want to add a new one, then press Options, Add New . You’ll be prompted for a profile name, choose anything you like – though I’d recommend naming after the network that you are setting it up for (e.g. O2 WAP)

You can configure your profile by selecting it in the profile list, pressing the Options softkey, then choosing Settings
Set the bearer (which is the method of connecting to the internet) to be GPRS by choosing the bearer, GPRS menus .
Next, go to the GPRS settings. Fill in the correct APN, User ID and Password for your network.
Finally, back in the profiles menu choose your profile name, press the options softkey and select Activate to make this the one that you’ll be using by default.
