-   pinevall1.....where did you get the PDF file that helped you fix the problem? I went to Maytag and they didn't have a parts list... only the operation manual in PDF. Your response back would be greatly appreciated. Mine jumps all over the floor. Thanks -   rbenef466

-   HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM WHERE CAN I FIND THE PFD REPAIR MANNUAL AND THE TOOL, -   Jimbo1833
HI!!! I used to work for maytag and this model vibrates and moves around ..we used to install skid pads so that it would not vibrate and move..also make sure that the unit is not off balance.. You should have 4 knobs underneath the unit so that you can adjust it..Good Luck..
Just fixed the same issue with mine. Machine wore a hole in the vinyl floor! The "snubber ring" the drum suspension system sits on is a nylon ring only costs about $5 but is not easily replaced. My local repairman said he needs the unit brought in so I just did it myself. Tricky to get the drum assembly out without special spring compression tool but not impossible. I found a free PDF manual online which was very helpful. Also you need a helper to get the drum out and turned upside down. Turn the pulley wheel counterclockwise until the aluminum drum in the middle spins freely then the ring can be changed. Good luck.

- Sorry, I cannot recall the site I found that manual on. I looked a little but can't find it. It is there if you do some clicking around. There were others posted with it. It is like $20 for a new repair manual on fixitnow.com. The spring tool is available at repairclinic.com, but I used a stiff steel rod (thicker than a hanger) and bent my own. The main idea is making a hook to latch the spring at the top and be able to pull it up off the frame or spring clip, and of course get it back on there.

The clothes were not spinning dry, so I looked into the problem and noticed that water was constantly dripping into the tub. It spins well, but as it does water keeps coming in therefore the clothes can never get spun without the extra unwanted water.
