You appear to have a pansonic K Mech model.
H01 is the code for no drum motor or drive.

What can I do with my video (JVC HR-V500E) because there is a SAFE in the display and the machine will do nothing at all. Every time I press any button, the display again says SAFE. Help.

SAFE means that there is a short in the output or an overload is present. It is a lock out code to protect the device.
I had this happen to a receiver and I was never able to resolve it.

Once the VCR is turned on, it turns itself off.

If there is a mechanism fault on the VCR then the VCR will shut itself down. It sounds like the mechanism might be jammed, it's trying to move to the right position, when power is applied but can't so it stops. One thing that might be wrong is the mode switch might be faulty. This will cause all sorts of thing to happen, including putting on the timer record light even when none has been set.

Why doesn't my Go Video player work anymore, when nothing happened to it? I just inserted a video one day and nothing! It just wouldn't play when it had played just fine before.

First make certain that somebody (perhaps a child) hasn't been playing with the controls or altering the settings. If they are OK, something might have snapped inside. Video recorders generate a great deal of heat when running this can cause all sorts of faults.

How do i cancel f-1 on my jvc vcr

F1 is a fault code. When the unit initialises, it spins motors and self tests. If it detects a fault it displays F1 and shuts down operations.
Needs to go to a service centre for repair, sorry.

Panasonic VCR model number NV-HD640B comes up with fault code H01 - what is this and how do I fix it?

You have a Panasonic K Deck Mechanism, you can search for more free info on it via Google. Meanwhile H01 means no drum motor or drive, it's to do with the main VCR head not going around.

I am trying to use a Panasonic AJ-D650, which hasn't been used for about 5 years. Initially the DVCpro tapes wouldn't load but they are now loading correctly. However if I press play or any other command...

most likely problem with the AJ-D650 is deteriorated electrolytic capacitors on the mechanism drive board. when these caps fail, the mechanism will not load completely, if at all. also check for bad capacitors in the signal path from the head drum. first and easiest step is to clean the heads; often a good cleaning will restore operation to a non-playing machine.

Will not display picture or eject tape.

most of no signal means dsr 11 or similar machines have dirty heads. When they get dirt sometimes, you can´t play a cassette and the machine turns off (with the cassette in).
I´ve tried several times to reload the cassette and I manage to make it work again.
with the cassette in and the machine off press at the same time power and fast forward.
When in fast forward press play and your head should be starting to be clean (takes 4 o 5 minutes
to get a clean picture). Normally the machine gives a code error like if it was a loading problem but
not nearly related
