Most likley there is screws on the bottoms and or there are screws on the top back and the lid slides out then you will have to remoe the panel and then the door

Ok, I have an LG Dryer, model # DLE 0442w. It is making a horrible vibrating noise. I believe it has something to do with the venting system. I have tried just about everything to get the front of my dryer...

Use a flat screwdriver and place it in the gap between the front panel and the top panel about 4" from the sides. Push in to unlock the clip holding the top panel to the front panel. There is one on each side. Lift the top up and remove the 2 screws holding the front panel on top. Now open the door and remove the 2 screws holding the front panel to the filter screen insert. Pull the whole panel out and disconnect the wire connection to the door switch. Lift the entire front panel up and out and you will have access to the blower wheel on the bottom left.
Good luck.

A piece of clothing got sucked down the lint vent and now the dryer makes a loud squeeling noise. I need to know how to disassemble the dryer to get to the piece of clothing

LG dryer disasembly notes:
To disassemble remove the top first by removing screws in rear. To take off the control remove to screw on each side of the back. All connectors are color coded. Cannot screw up reassemble.Lift control out and up. Control board has 4 screws and is replaced as a unit. Keep the selector knob.
Removing and reversing the door
Remove the screws from opposite side and then remove the latch pull out the latch no wires are there. Take the door off and reverse it then replace the latch and shorter screws for extra holes.
Remove the front:
Disconnect the dryer light and door switch wires. Move harness out yer way. Remove 2 screws at the base of the door opening and 4 screws along the top. Tip the panel to the front and lifts off. Next remove the top bracket 2 screws each end. Lift brace up and off.
To remove the shroud/panel 4 screws are removed and lifted up and pulled forward. Disconnect the wire to the humidity sensor.
Remove the belt from idler and yank the drum out. (The belt goes under the tensioner then over the pulley then release it and the spring holds everythang in place like a DOT dryer.) The grooved/ribbed surface goes to the tub side.

I'm trying to replace the door catch on the front panel of a Whirlpool Dryer model GEW9868KQ1. I've replace the piece on the door but can't figure out how to get the front panel off.

Hi, You shouldn't have to remove the front panel. Just squeeze the latch hard enough to remove it. I hope this helps. Please let me know if I can be of any more assistance.

Thanks

How do you reverse the door on a front load dryer. Model #GLE02152ES1

Remove the hinges from the dryer and then unscrew them from the door. Remove the 4 screws on the opposite side of the door so the inner and outer door panel detach. You will also have to remove 3 phillips head screws that hold the door handle to the panel so you can flip it, because top and bottom are not symmetrical. One of the 3 is hidden under the handle, you will see it when the other 2 are off. Rotate the handle and reassemble handle and inner door panel. Put the hinges back on opposite side and also switch the door latch. PS, one glitch is that the light cutoff switch is on the right side, so the door has to seat well to turn it off.

Zanussi ZDC67550 Dryer, door swing change?

Hi
just reversed the doors in 15-20 mins. It worked for me. You do need to be a competent DIYer to do this.
If in doubt, do now't. Get in an engineer

Disconnect from mains (obviously)
Remove top using 7mm nut driver/spanner
Remove 2 cross-head screws holding the door - Door will come away from dryer.
Remove 2 cross-head screws holding the white top and bottom blanking plates
pull out the switch blanking plate
Locate the PINK wires connecting the switch/latch mechanism inside the dryer at the top. This will be taped to a blue wire.
Unscrew the 2 smaller cross-head screws holding the latch/switch assembly whilst holding the pink wire to stop the mechanism dropping inside the dryer.
Pull up the latch mechanism and unravel the black tape holding it to the blue wire.
Drop the latch assembly down the lefthand side of the dryer and refit using the 2 small cross-head screws.
Retape to the blue wier and feed the PINK wires through the plastic retainers.
Fit the white blanking plates to the RIGHT handside of the door opening.
Swap the hinges and the switch latch on the door (don't lose the spring !!!, refitting the hinge blanking plates(ease these out with a small flathead screwdriver covered witha bit of insulating tape to avoid damage.)
Fit the door using the 2 cross-head screws you have left
Refit the top.

Connect to the mains and switch on to the sound of £80 you have just saved yourself !!
