Question about Coffee Makers & Espresso Machines
It just started doing this. It is a 10 cup coffee maker, about 3 months old. It just started doing this about 10 days ago. We've used Bunn's for 30 years and never had this problem. We use the 'rod' about once a week because we have such hard water.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

the exact same thing happened to ours. i went to the bunn website under support, and emailed them the exact same question you have here. i got a reply asking for our serial number from the bottom of the machine. as soon as i e-mailed that info to them, they told me that it was less than three years old (i guess they can tell from the serial number), still under warranty, gave me an RGA # and instructions to mail it back in for repairs. i'm getting ready to pack it up now.

THis sound is usually caused by the water being low in the tank. This can be because the machine is left on for long periods without being used. If this is not the case, then it would probably be your heating element getting small holes in it.

I will be happy to assist you with this issue if you would provide your model and date code which are located on the bottom of the unit.

It sounds like a seal/gasket is defective causing it to leak. Please locate the model and date code on the bottom of the brewer and contact customer service for troubleshooting and replacement options.

The first thing to check is to see if you have lost your sprayhead. The sprayhead is located underneath the filter basket. If the sprayhead is there, then it is possible the water is not hot enough. Pour water into your machine, and as it comes into the decanter, measure the temperature. It should measure between 175-185 degrees. If it isn't, then there is a defect with the heater. Please call us at 800-352-2866 with your model and date code once you have results.
