HP Pavilion a 1245c won't boot black screen no beeps constant running fan

I turn the computer on and the fan just runs. I receive no beeps and the monitor isn't receiving any signal from the computer. Nothing responds accept the fan at turn on. I turned off the computer, pulled out the CMOS battery for a few minutes, reset the boards to ensure they were seated correctly but still have the same issue. Any suggestions?

SOURCE: I have replaced 2x256 RAM

This problem occurs because of frequency incompatible between RAM.
For that you need to install same frequency RAM .
Also try with only 1 RAM make sure both RAM is working fine.
Try different RAM slot if 1slot or RAM is not working then also this problem occurs.
Let me know if you need further assistance.
Thanks for using FixYa.

SOURCE: PC was booting to HP screen with constant beep.

If the computer is not reaching the BIOS screen one of the components is most likely faulty. I strongly suspect that it is either the Motherboard or the CPU. If you have made sure the CPU is seated correctly you may need to try alternate motherboards or try the CPU in an alternate computer/Visa-Versa. Hope this helps you troubleshoot and good luck.

SOURCE: screen locked up, turned computer

Hi hay783...
Sounds like you may have a virus/trojan/worm/etc...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To remove a virus, trojan, worm, etc from your computer...do it the EASY way...let someone else do it for you.
Start your computer, as the computer is starting keep tapping the F8 Key.
This will start the computer in the Safe Mode.
Once in the safe mode go to the following webage below and download, install, and run Microsoft Safety Scanner for FREE.
Once you run the Microsoft Safety Scanner (it may take quite a while depending on the size of your hard drive) it will remove all the virus's,trojans, worms, etc it finds, if it does not completely remove them all you will be given a chance to chat with a Microsoft Professional thru a pop open window and he will take control of your computer (with your permission) and finish removing all the rest of the virus's, trojans, or worms that are on your computer for FREE!! Can't beat FREE!!

Fan just work for seconds

Replace the fan or your computer will run hot and keep turning off.

Or are you saying this is what happens when you power on the computer? if so: When you press the power button do you hear fansrunning, hard drive spinning, lights on the computer, hear any beeps or lightsconstantly blinking, hear the DvD/CD drive click and the light on the drawer ofthe DvD/CD turn on for a second or two? If so the laptop is trying toboot or may have booted, but the screen is not showing for some reason.

Beep tones and blinking lights tells the technicians what is going on with thelaptop and why it is not booting. Most times it's a motherboard issuewhen you hear beeps or blinking lights continuous.

Display and Boot problem with HP Pavilion DV2125NR

It is normal for the bottom to get hot. The fan should keep it cool enough to run, but it sounds like perhaps your fan is not working very well anymore and should be replaced.

Does the computer act up at all when cool? If not, the first thing I would try is replacing the fan and examining the fan and heatsink assembly for proper installation, perhaps replace the heatsink compound with some Arctic Silver while you have it open.
