I have put Ovenpride on it and the instructions say it is best left overnight unless its vitreous enamel, in which case I should wash off after 2 hours. The orignal booklet that came with the oven isnt clear if it is vitreous enamel on the door or inside the oven. Can you help? Thanks.

Re: how best to clean neff U1320 oven
The door itself is vitrous enamel, although I have not found it a problem if some gets on to it.
What you must ensure is that you do not put any on the element liners or covers on the sides. of the oven, otherwise it stains them.
Don't get it on any paint work either.
Plz rate my solution.

there are many de-greasers out there, or even lemon juice if you want a natural, food-safe chemical-free option.... for particularly bad build-up you could use paint stripper which is fine to use on enamel.
good old fashioned elbow grease with a scourer and strong solution of washing-up liquid will do it, but be patient.
Putting any metal object inside any Microwave is a problem, a large metal object destroys a part called the Klystron tube (the part that makes the microwaves), the energy from the tube is reflected back and burns out the Klystron tube. The part is most likely more than the oven is worth when you throw in labor to install it.
Self-cleaning ovens are not "squeaky clean" after the cleaning cycle has run. Any spilled food or debris in the oven before it cleans will be left behind as ashes, soot, etc. and you will need to wipe it out with a damp cloth afterwards. If the residue is black and sticky then the cleaning cycle isn't running at a high enough temperature. Please refer to the manufacturer's instructions to make sure the cleaning feature is working and being operated properly.

I have searched diligently and cannot find what the interior of the oven is made of. I suggest you open the owner's manual and find contact information for the manufacture. Call or email them for an answer.
Good morning Folk!!
A toxicity doctor rang me to say that I have been exposed to vitreous enamel and galvanised metal. The composition has zinc, chromium, silica so when the gas came off the oven interior, I had "gas fever, short term toxic, that would be eliminated from my body with no expected problems. Apparently welders have this all the time. It causes irritability, nausia and sleepiness. Australia has very poor metal detection in blood testing. It usually has to be sent to America.
I don't trust Eurolec, nor the company who made their baked enamel ovens - Technogas Italy, who now produce for Euro appliances. I'm getting a new stove - ILEVE - which is a better quality gas stove all round.
Bye for now Sandra Petersen
