Question about Televison & Video
I have a Digitrex CFD2271HAA and recently the reception became very bad and I worked out that that there was a problem with the tuner (tested other flat screens and they had no problem from that aerial point). I sourced and replaced the MAIN AV BOARD which includes a new tuner. When I turn on the TV I get a grey screen and no response to the remote other than the standby button. Help please

Check if the remote is in TV position, that is, because most of the remote controllers have the feature that you can program them for use with another devices. Make shure that one button that says "TV" in pressed and released once before you try to change any function on the TV.

I had the same tv, same problem. take the back cover off and look for the 250v ceramic fuse (looks like a glass tube type, but is porcelin) For ease of replacement and a cost of about $00.80. I would start there. If that does not take care of it, than you can move on to the other options.

This is the best solution for your problem as a 40 year experience with wires etc. Go to the source of your cable signal connector . Open it and clean the terminals with emery paper , sand the end of the cable shiny clean from corrosion , get a new barrel connectors with gold terminals if possible lengthen the ends of the cable , insert and tighten good, use thick rg-16 or rg 40 cable with good insulation ends crimped professionally with a crimpier or buy ready made , not from dollar store. Get a gold plated professional splitter if you need one or two , it will cost about 15 or more each . Make the cable runs as short as possible, using the thick good cables. If needed get a signal magnifier. From radio shack or the source etc. Connect them good and tight . Ground the splitters . Problem solved , you will get crystal clear channel 2 to 7 including 3 and 4 . Isolate the TV cable from other cables and power wires. Vitally
