Hey, I do not want my user name stored ... How do I stop this?

My user name is stored and I do not want it stored ... I want to have to key in everytime

Go into your settings tab and there is a place that asks if you want passwords to be saved, you can set it to either save always, ask you first or to not save them at all.

When the machine is printing a
document stored using the copier
function, wait until printing has
finished before you store a document
in the Document Server.
A Press the {Document Server} key.
B Press [Scan Original].
C Enter a file name, user name, or

Procedure 2.3 - Accessing the User Parameter Program
This procedure allows you to change the following settings:

• Set Measurement Units
• Enable/Disable Password
• Set User Name

Procedure

1. Plug the power cord into the wall outlet, then turn on the treadmill with the circuit breaker.
2. Press keys STOP,5,6,7,1 sequentially.
3. The display will momentarily read SELECT UNITS
4. The currently selected measurement unit will then be displayed.
5. Use the UP, DOWN arrow keys to toggle between U.S. STANDARD and METRIC.
6. Press the ENTER key to select the currently displayed measurement unit.
7. The display will momentarily read, PASSWORD
8. Use the UP, DOWN arrow keys to select either PASSWORD ENABLED or PASSWORD DISABLED
9. Press the STOP or ENTER key to exit the program.

1. Press Menu/Set, 2, 3, 1.
2. Press the One Touch key where you want to store a number.
The LCD shows the location you selected.
3. Enter a number (up to 20 digits), and then press Menu/Set. If you want to enter a pause in the dialing sequence (for example, to wait for an "outside line"), press Redial/Pause as you're entering digits. A dash appears on the LCD. Pressing Redial/Pause enters a 3.5 second pause when the number is dialed.
4. Use the dial pad to then enter the name (up to 15 characters), and then press Menu/Set. You can use the chart on page 4-2 to help you enter letters-OR-To store the number without a name, press Menu/Set.
5. Return to Step 2 to store another One Touch number-OR-Press Stop/Exit.
When you dial an auto dial number, the LCD shows the name you've stored, or, if you haven't stored a name, the number you've stored.
If you loose electrical power, auto dial numbers in memory will not be lost.
(For USA Only) One-Touch key 1 has been pre-programmed for the Brother faxback system. One-Touch key 2 has been pre-programmed for the CallManage long distance plan. You can override them if you wish.
Note If you need to store a pause longer than 3.5 seconds, press Redial/Pause two or more times.
Note - You can store Groups (for Broadcasting) on the One Touch keys.

I am not sure how to delete stored names from the scanner. I figured out how to add names, but we now have employees that are no longer with us...and now we don't need there email address' stored...


Press the [User Tools/Counter] key Press [System Settings]. Press [Administrator Tools]. Press [Address Book Management]. Press [Delete]. Select the registered name you want to delete. Press the name key, or enter the registered number using the number keys. Press [Yes]. Press [Exit]. Press the [User Tools/Counter] key.

OMG! got a problem w/ my temporary password @ Kp! cant activate it!??!!! how do i log in! huhuhu


If you are talking abou the user name and assword on login screen then you need to restart computer and start tapping F8 key on keyboard, you will get Advanced boot option, stop pressing the F8 key, you need to select safe mode with the help of up and down arrow keys on keyboard, hit enter on Admin username if it ask then click on start>control panel>user name and then select your user name and change the password, restart your computer and then enter the new password.

* If you do not find user name under control panel then look for classic view on top left corner of the screen and click on it.

Hope this would fix the issue.

How to specify fax machine to dial '9' before fax number?

This procedure is from the Brother FAX-4100e FAQ link:

Storing Speed Dial numbers:
You can store Speed Dial locations on your machine(*). Once you have programmed the Speed Dial number on your machine, you can dial the number by pressing Search/Speed Dial, #(Pound Sign), the Speed Dial number, and then Fax Start.
*The number of locations you can store varies by machines. Please refer to the User's Guide for your machine. The latest User's Guide is available in the Manuals section.

To store Speed Dial numbers follow the steps listed below:

1. Press Menu.
2. Press the left or right arrow key to select Fax and press Set.
3. Press the left or right arrow key to select Set Auto Dial or Set Quick Dial, and press Set.
4. Press the left or right arrow key to select Speed-Dial and press Set.
5. Use the dial pad to enter the location (Speed Dial number) where you wish to store the number and press Set.
6. Enter the number you want to store (up to 20 digits) and press Set.

Note:
If you want to enter a pause in the dialing sequence (to wait for an outside line, for example), press Redial/Pause as you're entering digits. Pressing Redial/Pause enters a 3.5-second pause when the number is dialed, and a dash appears on the screen. If you need a pause longer than 3.5 seconds you can press Redial/Pause as many times as needed.
7. Use the dial pad to enter the name or company name (up to 15 characters) and press Set.
If you want to store the number without a name, just press Set.
8. Return to STEP 5 to store another Speed Dial number or press Stop/Exit to exit the menu.

Hi, can you tell me how to remuve the password on a canon NP 6551


Press "Additional Functions", then "ID", then "Stop", then "Additional Functions" keys in that order. Press [STORE USER ID #] then press [OK] key. Press [CLEAR ALL ID #s] key. Press [OK].
CAUTION.....this proceedure totally wipes out all stored ID #'s and User Counters. To re-enable passwords, must be reinput manually.

  1. Click Start and then click Run.
  2. In the Open box, type Regedit and then click OK.
  3. Locate and select the following key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\9.0\Common
  4. Select the UserData DWORD value for the above key.
  5. On the Edit menu, click Rename.
  6. Rename the UserData DWORD value to UserDataOld.
  7. Find the following key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\9.0\Common
  8. Find the following value: OSAShortcut. If it does not exist, create it. On the Edit menu, click New and then click Dword. Name the value OSAShortcut, and then set the value to 1.
  9. On the Registry menu, click Exit.
  10. Start any Office program.NOTE: The same Windows Installer dialog boxes appear one more time.

  11. When you are prompted, type your name and initials in the User Name dialog box, and then click OK.

Storing #s in memory


Try this. Memory The handset can store up to ten 24-digit numbers with up to 15-character names in memory for quick dialing. This memory feature is in addition to the CID memory log, which stores up to 40 CID records in the handset. Storing a Name and Number in Memory 1. Make sure the phone is OFF (not in TALK mode). 2. Press the mem button. 3. Press the desired memory location (0 through 9) or use Caller ID/vol (+ or to scroll to the desired memory location. NOTE: If the memory location is occupied, the memory location number and its contents show in the display. 4. Press the mem button again. The display shows ENTER NAME. NOTE: If you don?t want to enter the name, skip step 5. 5. Use the touch-tone pad on the handset to enter the name (up to 15 characters) and press the mem button to save. More than one letter is stored in each of the number keys. For example, to enter the name Bill Smith, press the 2 key twice for the letter B. Press the 4 key 3 times for the letter I. Press the 5 key 3 times for the letter L. Wait for one second. Press the 5 key 3 times for the second letter L. Press the 1 key to insert a space between the L and the S.
