Sounds like you will need to format the memory card. This will permanently erase all the data from the card and then you will be able to use it again. To format the card: Press the Ok button - right arrow to Mode Menu - down arrow to Card tab - right arrow to card setup - right arrow to format option. You will see format yes or no. Choose Yes and press ok. This will clear the write protect error message and the card can be used again.

When I want to take photo a message says: memory card is write protected. How can I solve this problem

Take the memory card out of your camera. SD and SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

How do i delete pictures that are protected

you need to go into your menu/camera settings and find the bit that gives you the options for protecting or locking the images.

If you cant find it in your menu or setup options then go to display mode. Go to the photo that is protected then hit your menu buttons to unprotect it.

Protected Photos

Hi there.
Check the card an make sure the write protect is not on, if it is,
face the card towards you, look for a small white tab on the left hand side of the card, to unlock it push the tab down, it will be at the side of the card like this 59a6de4.jpg .

Please post back if you need any additional advice.

Good luck and thanks for choosing FixYa!!

How to remove the protected card message on the camera

Remove the card from the camera and move the small sliding switch to the unlock position (I'm guessing you have an SD card?). That should solve it. Re-install the card and you should be good to go.
