SOURCE: How to replace the belt on a Samsung J845 front loader washing machine

Its on the back of machine and after you remove the back cover plate youll see that its very easy to install the new one.You shouldnt have to use any tools to put on the new belt.Just loop it around the motor pulley and around the large tub pulley that you see right in front of you.It may even appear to be too tight while your winding it on the pulleys but its not .

My washing machine model WA90G9 leaks water as soon as the water pass the lowest water mark

Get the machine out but leave it attached to the water and power. Switch off at the wall, remove the rear access panel and then operate the machine while looking in the back with a torch /flashlight. DO NOT put your hands or anything else into the machine. Operate the fill cycle and I'm pretty sure you will see the source of the leak. If its a hose / pump / etc, get the machine details off the sticker on the back and call a domestic appliance shop or go online. Most good online shops have exploded views of the parts and a good DIY fixer should be able to identify the part. If it leaks when it reaches the half way level up the drum it could be the drum bearing / seal assembly, in which case its much more complicated and you will need knowledgeable help. There may be no rear panel in which case the top lid will need to be removed. Usually by a couple of screws on the rear edge. If you don't know what to do get help. Water and electricity don't mix.

There is no belt on a front loader washing machine. The way the drum spins is by a stator in the back of the unit.

Spin cycle wont work and error code 8E comes on display on Samsung Q1235S

It doesn't pump or spinIf it doesn't pump water out or spin, check to see if the motor is running, then proceed as follows:

  • If the motor is running, your washer probably has a frozen pump pulley or a broken pump belt. To check the pulley, remove the pump from the washer and try to rotate the pulley manually. If it doesn't turn freely--if it's frozen or stiff--replace it. If the pump belt is broken or looks quite worn, replace it--but be sure to check the pump pulley before you change the belt.

  • If the motor isn't running, the lid switch may be defective. If so, the washing machine can't spin and may not function at all. The switch is inside the washing machine main housing near the door frame. Often you have to raise or open the top or front of the washing machine to get to the switch. If it's defective, you need to replace it.

If you stand in FRONT of the washer, leaning over the top, the drive wheel is underneath the main drive motor, on the RIGHT hand side.  Loop the belt over the drive motor wheel, then over the main pully, and it should be good to go!
