Question about Gaggia Syncrony Logic 74884 Espresso Machine & Coffee Maker
Durring a mid cycle operation the coffee maker ran out of water. I then pulled out the dispensing unit but cannot put it back in

try to make a cup of water (tea), if you not get any water that way i think you have to replace the flow meter in the machine.

SOURCE: Hot water
Have you kept up with descaling?
Probably the water heater has failed. If you're technical then most parts should be replaceable but you may have to order them from Gaggia in Italy.

First remove the screw and screen then press brew button to run water, if that works clean screen and reassemble, if not you will have to remove the allen wrench screws and clean the diffuser and vlave spring.

Just let it run the cycle, don't press any buttons.
When it runs out of water refill it and let it continue.
I get this problem a lot,

I had the same problem but it was not a new machine (about 1 year old). I found the solution by replacing the valve inside the group head. It cost a matter of a few pounds and very easy to fit. In the middle of the spreader shower plate there is a screw. Undo this and take off the shower plate and you will find a threaded bolt that has the thread that holds the screw you just took out. Carefully undo the bolt and the valve drops out. This is the part that I replaced. Replace with the new valve and re-fit the shower plate. Be careful not to overtighten the valve as it can snap. It worked for mine and has worked well ever since. It might be worth taking the current valve out and wash it then put it back before ordering a new one. It could just be blocked.
