If is a desktop dissconect everything and open the case after opining the case you will see you mother board your power supply look for the memory card And release those 2 clips and pull one out make sure that do not touch the botton pins of the memory card and look at the lebeling if it is DDR,DDR2 DDR3 and it will say pc 2400 or 2600 that's just an a example if you have a notebook what are you has to do is in the botton of the pc like where the keyboard side is look for a spot with a screw that it has the memory stick picture in it get a philip screw driver and removed the screw and you don't has to removed you can see it at soon you open the little cover.
