You need to go into the options and configure the email settings.
You need the server details to send an email with so most likely what happened is whatever settings it had are no longer valid.
Use your own email like gmail or live mail and get the server setting from one of those websites. The printer/scanner will likely support sending via POP mail or SMTP. Your email provider will have the instructions for this.
If you have a hard time navigating the menu system on the printer, just download the manual. It's a Panasonic yea? So it should be easy to grap the manual.
Read the manual for the scanner. then hookup the scanner-to-computer wire, then run the scanning program. It's not automatic. You have to have things hooked up correctly and run the software as described in the scanner manual.
