same problem, was the solenoid valve at the tank. It was stuck closed remove it and take it apart and clean the piston, or get a new one, you should here it click when iron is on and you depress the button on the iron.

There is most likely a small port where some particles have clogged...fill reservoir with vinegar and water (50/50) and allow to soak 24 hrs, then reheat then shake vigorously to drain then rinse then retry

Hi,
You have to check solenoid steam valve which is fitted on the steam tank output pipe.

Hi Lori, There's a little valve on the water tank on the inner side where it connects to the base, push this in a couple of times it may be stuck. I had the same problem and hey it worked. Good Luck Babs.

Since it is new it should still be under warranty. Take it back for warranty replacement or repair.

Conair GS95 upright steamer will not steam just beeps

There is a float in the tank thy after 3 weeks stopped floating. Symptoms include; getting hot, no steam, light lights on wand but no sound or steam production. Mines covered under replacement policy with Amazon but temporarily I was able to use a metal fork, to slide on magnet up and carefully put the tank back into unit. It works. I'd imagine a better fix , get that plastic top off of tank without destroying it, unscrew float, and see why the boyancy is off? Adding more foam or cork just to stop it from going down. Of course I don't suggest to rig it in the up full position just in case it breaks

I love my iron, BUT I used to be able to clean it by the recommended method, but now it will not shoot out steam to clean the holes. It does not steam on clothes even though I prees the steam button. ...

Put in as much white vinegar as possible and then turn iron on. Let it stay on for about 30 minutes the try the steam button. Once the steam button begins to work empty the vingar an fill with distilled water to rinse. You'll need to rinse several times to get all of the vinegar out.

Brown water drips

Hi,
This may be down to contaminants in your water supply, or any "ironing water" you may be using.

There will be a build up inside the hotplate where the water is vapourised.

To clear this, refer to your manual or simply put on high steam setting, rest on it's heel, and wait for the indicator light to go out, then unplug, and hold horizontal over the sink. Press any steam boost buttons you have untill the iron is cold - and you just get water flowing out.

The best and cheapest water to use I've found - is the condensate from condensing tumble dryers. Which most people just tip away! It is condensed steam - so contains no minerals to fur up irons. If you don't have one - ask a neighbour for a few gallons.
