connected to computer and it showed " Do not disconnect " it has done NOTHING since it is not even showing the battery charging( up to 7 hours and counting ) !!!!!!!!!! HELP ....

If the reset didn't help please describe the issue in more detail.

What do you expect to happen?
Do you expect the device to show up in itunes?
Do you see a new local drive in the My Computer window?

Just press the menu button and center for 6 seconds, that should reset it.
