Is it possible to use intel duel core E5400 processor with MSI B75MA-P45 Motherboard? or any other motherboard support DDR3?

Hello here is the cpu list, for the asus board:

http://www.asus.com/Motherboard/P5QLCM/#support_CPU

Here is the msi site:

http://www.msi.com/product/mb/B75MA-P45.html#/?div=Basic

Your current cpu will not fit on the msi board, because it is a different socket.

The asus board has socket LGA 775, and the msi board has socket 1155.

You have to buy a new cpu for the msi board, to make it work.

Here is the cpu list:

http://www.msi.com/product/mb/B75MA-P45.html#/?div=CPUSupport

If you want to keep the socket 775, you probably have to find a used mainboard, because this socket type is phased out.

Some online stores still have this mainboard type available, but a new mainboard will have the DDR3 ram socket.

Good luck

I have a msi board model ms-7275 ver:1a i want to know what size cpu i can use on it

Hello willemp786,
I've done some research on the "Motherboard,
by Model#; but the listings are showing "No Result!"
I've given you a "Link to a Website" that will help you
with the 'correct type' of [CPU], that you will need,
that "Support" your Motherboard.
I need you to; (Double Check) the "Model #."
"Go to the website below, and 'enter' the information.
Then, you'll be able to match your Motherboard,
with the supported CPU!
"If you need help with anything else?
"Write a 'comment', I'll be standing by to assist you!"
"Best Regards"

My Epox EP-4GEA+ motherboard died and I need to knowwhat to replace it with. Can you help ? Thanks Harry

If you have a generic system (commonly known as a whitebox--e.g. not branded) then you need to look for a motherboard that will support your processor and memory, as well as form factor so it will fit in the same case.
Motherboards I have used lately include MSI and ASUS.
Now here's the rub--depending on the age of your motherboard, you may not be able to get one that will support your CPU and memory. Technology moves so fast. Try it, though. Your other alternative is to get a new motherboard and CPU and memory to match.

You have to wipe bios to make it boot set bios upturn off.you have to wipe bios again to start up again.

This indicates you have something set wrong in the bios. Check your clock speed and match it to your cpu.

Replace motherboard

There is no need to get an exact replacement motherboard, most likely it is out of production if it is more than 6 months old.
The desktop case has and motherboards have standard configuration mounting holes. I sugest you work out what your computing requirements are and go to your friendly computer shop and purchase a motherboard.
Most of the existing components will be compatible but the RAM and CPU may not, you need to check this out.

What is the best cpu that :MSI MS-6398E can take.

MSI list the 478 pin 2.53ghz Pentium 4 chip as maximum speed on that board. Sounds about right going by the age of the cpu and memory.

Here's link to the datasheet:
