Question about Stoves Ovens
1) The clock/cooker display illuminates but you can't alter the clock. 2) Recently the igniter n the grill wouldn't work, if you lit it by a match flames leap from it all over thre place! You have to turn on the main oven and wait 10 mins for the fan to come on before you can safely manually light the grill. 3) The main oven now keeps cutting out every now and again, the clock goes out. About 10 mins later it comes back on again and the oven works fine? . Is the oven worth getting repaired or should I bin it and get a new one.

does it turn off after the oven has got upto temperature if it does it is probably that your thermostat has gone as this cuts off as a safety feature if your oven gets hotter than the thermo setting then it will shut off to protect from over heating or causing a fire hazzard with high temperature are you sure you havent changed the timer as well cus you can set a timer for your oven to switch on at certain time and to also switch off after a certain time if you still have the manuall have a look through the timer section if you do not have a manuall then check on your makers web site these should have a manuall online for you to check first i would check that the timer is not on if i can find you a manuall online i will post back hope this is some help.................

If there is a display on the clock and you cannot reset it to manual, then the oven will not work, if you cannot reset then you will probably need a new timer fitting.
They can be bypassed, but not recommended unless you know what you are doing..
If there is no display at all , then check to make sure you have supply to oven
Plz rate my solution.

there is a safety stat/fuse on top of the oven exterior i think you will find that it also has blown. Make sure you have isolated the appliance at the fuse board first though, Good Luck
