In LAN(local area network) you can use thies topologies( star, ring, bus, mesh). here star topology is popular among them

How to design the PAN port of Huawei OLT equipment?

1. General in order to avoid the two upward mouth is connected to a single point of failure, this state data from walking on the piece of the board, if the down off, from another piece of the board, because so that we can minimize the damage of equipment (such as the single board failure) caused by accident, because the pon is generally used for operators, the Huawei OLT if off, affect the users and business all too clear.2. In series between the OLT?Refers to the OLT between redundant or a simple link to each other?OLT can be seen as a layer 3 switching device, but its core technology is the control of the ONU below, interconnection between two OLT operation routing protocol can achieve what you said series topology effect.ONU series of words can be used in a beam splitter, as shown in figure. After OLT downward a 1:2 splitter, spectral ratio of 5 goes, than small optical fiber spectroscopic ONU, spectral than big same optical splitter, optical fiber again by one such a layer, in this way of deployment support 6-7 ONU () under the same pon mouth, perhaps because more droop too big to run normally.

There r three companies: company A, a branch of company A, and company B, they r connected using switches. To implement dynamic VLAN registration, enable GVRP. The branch of company A can communicate

You can follow the below steps:
1.Enable GVRP to implement dynamic VLAN registration.
2.Configure GVRP on all switches of company A and set the registration mode to normal for the interfaces to simplify configurations.
3.Configure GVRP on all switches of company A and set the registration mode to fixed for the interfaces connecting to company A to allow only the VLAN to which company B belongs to pass.
You can get into for more details.

I need to design a net work for a company with 4 subnets and each subnet work have about 30 hosts. I've chosen a star topology for each sub network. what is the best centralized device should I...

You are going to want to use a switch. the reason you will want to use the switch is because of the different subnets that you will have and the hosts that you are going to have. You will have faster and more reliable connection. With a Router or a HUB the connection will get over worked and you will see the time it takes to do something is that much longer. Always use switches with more then 15 hosts

Irratic behaviour of the switch network

Well 1 can tell you that if I remember right with cisco networking the maximum number of swiches possible between two hosts in a LAN network is 7.
Try to imagine a line with 2 pc at the end points. You can put maximum 7 swiches between them or expect problems.
I suggest you to try to make a current network map if you don't have one already.
Than do some counting between points just like the way your routing protocol is managing the packets route and see how many swiches you hit.

You can read about a very similar kind of incident with brand new CISCO equipement over here.

Maybe the problem's root is something else, but what you wrote was giving me this idea first to think of.
Hope I gave you an idea.

What type of ethernet topology is used in the switches

A switch does essentially what a hub does but more efficiently. By paying attention to the traffic that comes across it, it can "learn" where particular addresses are. For example, if it sees traffic from machine A coming in on port 2, it now knows that machine A is connected to that port and that traffic to machine A needs to only be sent to that port and not any of the others. The net result of using a switch over a hub is that most of the network traffic only goes where it needs to rather than to every port. On busy networks this can make the network significantly faster.

Switches, hubs or routers typically are used in a star topology connection, so if one device fail everything else is still working. Everithing is managed inside but not like a bus topology system. You may need to use a tree topology in some case, keeping in mind the consequence of a failure.
