Re: Acer Aspire 5315-2326
First of all check whether all the connections are properly connected on the mother board as well as on the back of the tower and also try removing the cmos battery for two minutes then reinserting.

OH man, I used to OWN a PC JUST LIKE that one. Okay, you could have a number of problems for that particular machine. Those Acer Motherboards are tricky. Here is why; IF you do not have the proper speed of RAM inserted in the slots, it will not POWER UP the GPU to give you a video screen on the monitor. Next, the GPU (Video Chip that is on-board) could be just BAD. You can find a nice Video Card that's about 256 MEGABYTES or more on Amazon.com for LESS than 40 bucks or so. The Video Slot on those boards are PCI 2.0, so you can get a nice video card to solve your dilemma bro.
You need to get a recovery CD for your model laptop from Acer. Download the recovery CD and device drivers from the Acer WEB site. Computer does not boot up The problem maybe the RAM, it is faulty or just needs reseating to make proper electrical contact. Reseat the RAM and then boot up your laptop. If it still does not boot up then remove the RAM module/s and take them to your friendly computer repair shop and get them to test the RAM for you. Just like you sometimes need a mechanic to repair your car, sometimes you do need a technician to diagnose and identify the fault or faults on your computer. Not only does a good service technican have the experience to deal with this type of problem, they also have the equipment that allows them to look at things the average computer user can't see, and he has a collection of replacement parts that can be used to quickly test individual components on your computer.
First - re-seat the hard disk and reboot the computer. If the computer does not boot up then reboot and go into the BIOS configuration to see if the BIOS detects the hard drive. If it doesn't detect the hard drive then it could be faulty. Then the hard drive needs to be replaced in the computer/laptop, Windows installed and the computer or laptop's device drivers plus your programs etc. to get a functioning computer/laptop again.
