well NO and NO PC stated, only mobo.(lost the PC ?) nor that this PC was mobo bought in India? YOUR mobo is core2, not core(tm) processor they are not even the same class nor socket no here is the list of core i3 (all are LGA your mobo is core2. (older ) all are over 1000 pins, LGA1156 (gen 0)
you can not stuff 10 pounds(or kg) of mud in 1 pound sack. no can do.
Hi, Your motherboard is compatible with the e5800 processor.
It has Intel® Socket 775 and it will support processor listed below 1. Core™2 Quad. 2. Core™2 Duo. 3. Pentium® dual-core. 4. Celeron® dual-core . 5. Celeron® Processors
The only Thing To Do, is view both Motherboards, user Manuals.
To see The boards CPU Support List.
It could be to do with, certain Motherboards Supporting, certain CPUs.
I.e a 533mhz cpu, would not run on a Motherboard that supports 400mhz. The Systems Bios, May cause Other Problems.
If your getting a Black Screen, is it a possible Graphics/Ram Problem, Rather Than The CPU ??
The pentium d 915 is a dual core processor, albeit a bad one. You should check google for info on your motherboard to see if it supports Core 2 duo's/ Core 2 quads. I have an E6600 overclocked to 3.0ghz and it still plays games perfectly paired with my 8800gt 512mb and 4gb's ram. I definately recommend upgrading to a core 2 duo. I used to have a pentium d 915 and it was bad for gaming and the e6600 blows it out of the water. You most likely wont find the e6600 anywhere as it is nearly 3 years old. Look at sites such as toms hardware to find a good core 2 duo.
Hi
Pentuim D is a processor that has 2 x cpu in one and a core 2 duo has 2 cpu's plus 1 smart core bigger cache
you can only upgrade to a E2140 or E2180 processor on that motherboard
OR replace the board with a newer type
If you want to work the actual speed for the processor of a dual core take the speed for example dual core 1.8 x 2.1 =3.78 GHz
Core 2 Duo 1.8 x 2.4 = 4.32 GHz
what u have problem in ur mpother board expalin it
