Question about Simplicity Garden
Engine starts right up! Runs great. But the transmission wont engage. It worked fine before I removed rear wheels to fix two flat tires due to needing new valve stems. Put tires back on and now it won't move when I put it in forward or reverse.

SOURCE: Transmission won't engage
My Craftsman 24 hp twin 42in cut motor runs ok as well as the lawn mower. However will not move forward or backwards something is not connecting.

On my hydrostatic there is an adjustment on the forward/back lever which can be made to run all reverse or all forward. Normal setting gives both of course. Look at that adjustment. Maybe something let go.

Check to see if any oil leaks between rear wheels where the tractor was parked. Also make sure hydrostatic disengage lever, at rear of tractor by hitch, has to be pushed in.

Did you try to disengage the safety feature that should shut the tractor off when the blades are engaged and the tractor is placed in reverse? I believe that it is located under the shift leaver
