I have a husky 1/2 inch air gun, I bought the 1/2 inch impact sockets, they do not attach... They appear to small. What is the problem?

At the end of the anvil there is a retaining ring with an o-ring acting as a spring which holds the socket to the anvil. Sometimes they need to be adjusted. You can try and compress the retaining ring slightly by using a channellock plier, adjust accordingly and squeeze slightly until you get the desired tension. If you still cannot attach the socket then you will have to replace the retaining ring and o-ring as a set.

Ingersoll Rand model 2135. Gun still runs with the trigger off. Disassembled, but cannot figure how to remove throttle assembly.

The throttle valve is housed inside the inlet bushing assembly (item# 26). To remove the assembly there are 2 slots near the bottom of the handle, you will see a metal tip through the slot, that is the clip (item# 27) that need to be depressed in order to remove the inlet bushing assembly (item# 26). There is a special tool to depress the clip but can be substituted by using a small flat head screw driver, once the clip is released, slide the assembly out of the housing and at the very top is the throttle valve (item# 28D) it is held in by a retaining ring (item# 28G). WARNING the throttle valve (item# 28D) has a spring (item# 28C) below pushing up, be careful when removing the retaining ring (item# 28G) it could pop out with some force!

Rockford CAC-110 1/2" Impact Wrench

Mine had a metal ring on the end that held the sockets on. I also had the same problem as you but what I did was took a flat screwdriver and removed that clip ring. I did that because I change sockets quite frequently and having it so hard to replace sockets would just slow me down.

How to remove crankshaft bolt to change timing belt?

Borrow an air compressor , a pneumatic impact wrench , and an impact socket. It will take the bolt off with minimal effort (you wont even have to hold onto the pulley).

I have just bought a Bosch GDS 18 E Impact Wrench second hand. My question is how do i keep the socket from falling off the anvil.

A hand ratchet wrench uses a ball to hold the socket on the shaft. Impact wrenches use a ring. The ring is needed for the high speeds.
There should be a groove on the end of the socket end. That groove should have a round or flat ring in it. That ring keeps the sockets from falling off. It is missing go to Bosch for a replacement.
