Question about Fishman SA220 Solo Performance System Speaker PA Active

Open Question

My fishman solo amp has started making a static hissing noise when i turn it on. Does this with or without mics conected.

Just started having static in the background when i turn it on. Its a constant noise that is very noticeable when volume is turned up. Turning the base all the way up and treble all the way down helps some but its still there.

SOURCE: where is the fuse located in the fishman solo amp

The fuse is inside and if it blows, there is something wrong that caused the failure and MUST be repaired as just changing the fuse MAY do additional damage.

SOURCE: Low volume from Fishman Loudbox

I have seen defective XLR cables so check it with an ohmmeter. It is possible the mic input preamp has been damaged. If that is the case, the unit will have to be repaired.

How do I get a schematic diagram for Fishman SA220?

Fishman generally doesn't supply schematics to end users. Your best bet would be to find the authorized repair center nearest to you and jus t let them deal with it.

How can I reduce white noise / hissing I'm getting over the mic on a Behringer Xenyx 1204 USB setup?

Hi, you didn't say if the mic actually passes sound? The C-1 is a condenser Mic & needs phantom power - switch on the rear of your mixer. If that's no help, what happens if you disconnect the mic, then turn the levels back up? Still hissing or gone? If it's gone then it's the Mic - must use a 3 wire cable, preferably XLR so it gets the phantom power. If the hiss is still there without the Mic then sounds like the mixer is faulty - try some of the other channels..... How loau is the hiss - just in the background or as load as a vocal "one, two" test? A few things to check anyway...... Good Luck!

Maybe try adjusting the MASTER level?

Good Luck

Other settings
Adjusting the master level You can adjust the level of the headphone and the stereo out by turning the MAIN VOLUME knob. The MAIN
VOLUME changes the analog signal level. This will also adjust the entire level of the MPC1000 digitally.
01. Press the [MODE] key and then the [PAD 10] (OTHER).
It switches to the OTHER mode.
02. Press the [F1] (GLOBAL) key.
The GLOBAL page will be displayed.
03. In the Master level field, set the level.
You will set the digital signal level, which will be sent out to the DA converter. The MPC1000 can output up to
32 sounds simultaneously. There is the great difference in the level when you play single sample and play 32
sounds. If you increase the value in the Mater level field, you can increase the entire level of the MPC1000 to
create more powerful sound with less noise. However, if you playback many sounds at the same time, the
level may be overloaded, which may cause distortion. If you decrease the value in the Master level field, you
can prevent distortion when you play many sounds at the same time. However, you cannot have a good
result in respect to the noise or punch of the sound. Set the appropriate value in the Master level field
depending on the application.

Some notes on keyboard leave a horrible piercing static noise when volume is turned three quarters up.

Sounds like feedback from your monitors, the speakers can't be pointing in the direction of the mic.

Hello, I bought a second hand Martin J1 that has a fishman rare earth single coil pickup fitted. The problem is, when its plugged into the amp ( AER 60w) it makes a cracking noise every so often when

You have several options:

1. Do nothing and live with the occasional problem.

2. Check your guitar cable and the battery connections for loose or intermittent connections/noise. Try to see if it's the amp responsible for the noise....ie, Is it caused by vibrations, or maybe static....especially in winter when it's dry. Your home power may have noise on the line, so borrow or rent a power conditioner which filters out noise. If that fails, go to 3.

3. Bite the bullet and pay a competent guitar tech/luthier to repair it. Most of these issues are due to loose/faulty connections. Should be less than an hour. Hey....It's a Martin.

3a. Pay a guitar tech to loosen the end pin connector so you can see if you can repair it yourself.

Very low volume from mic input even with Gain and Master turned full on

You haven't told us what type mic you are using. If you are trying to use a condensr mic with this, you will need a preamp that supplies Phantom power to the mic. You haven't told us what cable you are using. Do check that you aren't using a condenser mic as there will be virtually no volume.
