FREEZER SOUNDS VERY NOISY

SOUNDS LIKE FAN BROKEN IN FREZZER. NOISE STOPS WHEN DOOR IS OPEN we have the same problem at Jenn air built in side by side refrigerator

Jenn Air built-in side by side refrigerator. Randomly occurring loud noise from section above the freezer. Service tech took two visits to install the factory mod to fix it. It doesn't work. May be related to ice buildup (icicles in freezer) that is not being melted adequately.

I turn off the power of refrigerator for 24 hours and defrost the frezzer. The noisy sound stopped. I think sometimes we did not close refrigerator tightly, the ice built up caused the problem.

The unit is making a short cranking noise.

Sounds like the freezer fan motor to me.
Open the freezer door.
Push in and hold the light switch on the door and listen for the noise.
It will probably be at the back of the freezer where the fan motor is located.
Could be a motor going bad or a ice buldup around rge motor blades.

My LG ice maker fan is making a really loud noise right after the water stops going in

Hello, Self-defrosting refrigerators use a circulating fan to move air through the freezer and refrigerator compartment. This fan runs when ever the unit is cooling. The fan is located in the freezer, as follows:
  • If the freezer is on top, the fan is on the back wall, near the top or bottom, in the center of the freezer.
  • If the freezer is on the bottom, the fan is on the back wall, near the top of the freezer.
  • If the freezer is on the left, the fan is on the back wall, half way up or near the top.
Overtime the fan may become noisy, usually making a chirping or squealing sound, though it may make a loud groaning noise instead.
To find out if the fan is causing the noise, just open the freezer door and push in any fan/light switches, if the noise is louder when the door is open, the evaporator fan motor is the cause. You can lubricate or repair this motor. You must replace it.
There are three components on the outside back of the refrigerator that may become noisy: the compressor, the condenser fan motor(if self-defrosting), or the defrost timer (if self-defrosting).
Thanks

JFC2087HRP Jenn-Air freezer creaking noise.

Most of the time this happen when the refrigerator has been hooked up to the water, and than you unhooked it!!, the water that is in the hose makes that sound when it's pushed by the air in the hose. that's a typical problem when you unhooked the water.

There is a vibration, a rotating vibration which stops when you open either door

It sounds like there is ice build up on your evaporator fan motor. remove food from your freezer and remove the bottom back panel in your freezer. Locate fan and hold the door switch in to see if the fan is hitting something.

You have two fans and a compressor which could be making the noise. Inside the freezer behind the back cover is the evaporator fan. It probably stops running when you open the door. Hold the door switch down to keep the fan running to see if it's making the noise.
the compressor and other fan is under the unit accessed from the back behind the cardboard cover.

FREEZER SOUNDS VERY NOISY

that because the internal fan is hiting the ice or has bad bushings you can hear the noise just with the door close because when you open the door there is a switch the one turns off the internal fan so when you close the door it turn on the fan again if you wants to hear that with the door open just open the door and push the botton swich with your fingers and you'll hear the noise

FREEZER SOUNDS VERY NOISY

It could be the fan is bad or that it is hitting ice. If the noise is kind of a buzzing like it is hitting ice...defrost your unit by unplugging and waiting a day or so for full melt out...then check your door gaskets for cleanliness and good seal. Avoid 'windowshopping".

Humming noise coming from Jennaire built in

is the unit touching another apliance or unit touching it as the contact can produce sound as it vibrates on something else if it is not touching something else then the unit probably isnt level it should havfeet on the bottom that turn round to allow you to get the unit level you will need a spirit level to do this and put it running side to side and get it level then do it front to back and get it level on getting it level the noise should stop if the noise dont stop then it is probably just a noisy motor there is nothing you can do about this as they sometimes are noisy but if noise stops when you open door then the unit is probably not level and opening the door balacnes the weight distribution and levels the unit and therfore stops the sound i would try balancing the unit first or make sure it is not touching anything else hope this solves oyur problem good luck...........................
