try to use rubbing alcohol on a qtip and clean the game connectors and inside the game slot. Or try to blow on it. that usually does the trick

SOURCE: Nintendo DS lite "L" "R" button dont work

OK the buttons are probably dirty. I had this same problem with my DS. Pry open the outside edges of the buttons until there is a gap. Blow into the gap while making sure you dont spit in the console. This should clear out the dirt and make your buttons work.

The microphone if not working on my nintendo ds lite how do I fix the problem?

The only reason for the microphone to stop working is damage. If your DS lite is under warranty you should be able to contact Nintendo support for a replacement/repair.

Tip

Got DS Problems? Here are the Solutions for the most common ones.

Most all DS problems are reversable. If you manage to scratch or otherwise crack the screens, you can use acryllic to fix that. Or what if the screen is not bright enough? Easy, the brightness can be adjusted at the main screen, (sun icon) or the DS might need charging. What about buttons that stick? That is also an easy fix, wipe rubbing alcohol on the buttons. What if the top screen becomes disconnected? That problem is not a do-it-yourself fix, there is a company, I am not sure what the name is, but send it to them and you can get it repaired for a reasonable price. The games don't work? Easy, check the prongs in the DS to see if they are crooked, and then to straighten them, use needle-nose pliers. If the triggers need fixing, you might want to check fuses #F1 and F2.

My ds lite has: "system date error" how do i fix

Hi there,

Let us investigate in this matter and try to resolve it.

Since the 10th of April, 2010, some users of the Nintendo DS and DSi and the R4i SDHC card have experienced an error that stops the DS card / DSi card from being used. The error contains the message “Loading… System date error! Please check NDS system date” when a user turns on their Nintendo DS, Nintendo DS Lite, Nintendo DSi or Nintendo DSi XL console.
The reason of this error seems to be an incompatibility between the actual system date on the Nintendo DS console and the R4i SDHC card. This is possible of the Nintendo DS was played until it lost all power, or if the memory card within the R4i SDHC was formatted incorrectly. It can also be attributed to the date simply being incorrectly calibrated. In some situations, transferring a .SAV file from another Nintendo DS that has a different system date on it, can also trigger the problem. It currently seems to be that the problem only manifested itself after the 10th of April, 2010. While the team behind the R4i SDHC are working on a fix to be a future part of a software update, consumers are advised to go into their Nintendo DS system settings and set the date back until the R4i SDHC card can continue to function as normal. In some cases, setting the date back up to a month is required to temporarily solve the problem.
google_protectAndRun("ads_core.google_render_ad", google_handleError, google_render_ad); Until a software solution is found, the R4i SDHC team would suggest consumers keep their dates wound back. To hear the latest about what solutions, both temporary and permanent, please visit the blog on http://www.dscardworld.com where solutions will be tested before presented to the public.
Hope that works.

Regards,

Ds lite is reading system date error

Known problem with the NDS Cards but here is a temporary fix:Take out the NDS cards and start up DS without them
  • Tap the symbol in the middle of the screen at the bottom that looks like a DS.
  • Tap the blue box with a calender and clock in.
  • Change the date a month or two back.
  • Restart DS with NDS cards in.
Even though this is temporary the people at NDS are working for a solution. But until then you might just have to keep putting the date back.

My nintendo ds lite stopped working but does charge

The LCD screens may be dead. Ask a mechanic to change the screens.

Or maybe it is about the hinge. the cables may be damaged.

Did you spill anything on the DS??

Scroll button doesn't stop

Hello there.

This could be a problem with your EDGE DS software. Check you have the right software by visiting the official EDGE DS website at edge-ds.cn (NOT edgei-ds.cn, this is a FAKE site).

If you want info for now to tell the difference between a real and fake iEDGE, just in case, check out:

Tell a Fake iEDGE
Fake iEDGE different packaging

If you're looking to buy an iEDGE card...

If you're EU/UK - Buy iEDGE from NDS-Gear
If you're US/Canada - Buy iEDGE from DSCardWorld

Good luck!
