Try to unplug set and box if used for a while then power set back by itself with just a DVD etc connected to a rear input to see if any functions.

There is no picture on tv the tv plugged in & getting electric?
2. Does the tv show a raster,a blue screen. the tv getting an input signal , assuming that the answer to 1 &2 was yes.
4. Is your cable box plugged in.
5. are all the connections into your cable box connected
or did one fall of
6. did you pay your cable bill on time.
If your cable box is bad , the cable company should fix or replace it for free. If you or someone else unhooked the connections, say by tripping over them, the cable company will restore the connections and chatge you a service call fee.
7. do you have dish or direct tv? either of those services will loose picture if it is raining out and picture wont come back until after the storm passes.
8. if you have dish or direct tv, and a branch,a person or an animal, a bird, has fallen on the dish/direct tv antenna, it may have misalligned the dish and it will no longer recieve the satalite signal. THere is a reallignment service
available;dish network charges $95.00 unelse you have insurance, like i do,so it only cost me $15.00 I never had direct tv soi could not say, but dish net claims direct tv is more expensive

You can allign the antenna yourself ,if it is not on a steep roof. You need one person moving the antenna & another person at the tv telling him if the picture is getting better or worse. The dish box comes with a built in signal strength gague for that purpose.

enjoy considering these options and they next time you ask
please enclose all the information that you can so that we have something to go on and work with.

Turn set on picture is dark.. if I leave the TV on.. in several hours it's viewable.

I have seen several Samsung's including 3 that were only a few months old at the time where it was the lamp---one was so dim it was very hard to even see the picture or that the screen was lit.

Two suggestions here: One of course would be to buy and gamble and replace the lamp.

What I found in two of the three cases was when I removed the lamp the glass pillar inside it was "bent" at a angle from heat or a natural defect--in both those cases a new lamp cured this dim picture issue.

Set will monitor the lamp and if too dim may shut set off or even blink for a prolonged period of time.

If the lamp is over 2 years or age (average life) or was replaced with a non-Samsung lamp you are going to have to take the gamble to try another one.

Inspect the lamp---that pillar supports the filament and if bent the lamp is suspect at best.

My acer aod270 does not see the harddrive. How do I fix it?

Be sure to check that all the cables ect. are connected tightly.Because if one is lose that may be why your BIOS doesn't always see the hard drive. BUT If the "clicking noises" you hear are coming from your harddrive it could be that it is failing. You could try reformatting the drive and starting over with your install of Win 7 but if the harddrive is failing which hearing any clicking noises indicates than that harddrive is no longer going to work nomatter what! That's what happend to me several times with harddrives and the only option was to replace it with a new one. This sometimes just happens or because of wear & tear or bumps/drops over time to the harddrive.

The internet send/receive/pc/activity lights - thus PC are not working. We have rechecked all of the cables, and it works when it is directly lined to the cable coming into the house, but not through any...

Had this issue with our local 'Insight' cable company several times, before I replaced our 'consumer-grade' (which had also worked before) splitter with another, better one (with less dB loss!). Went 'round-and-'round with the cable company over this--they tried selling us their modem (ha!), cajoling us about using splitters (uhm, whut?), and trying to blame 'neighborhood signal strength' issues, but the bottom line was, and is, that cable companies dole out signal power just like they do connections--and occasionally (unfortunately) they seem to 'poll' the lines and do some internal accounting to minimize their cost, naming rules they've always had involving 'devices' and such, but the point is to keep your signal going, bugging them less (believe me! dealing with them, hope you can ferret out an 'honest tech' instead of reaching one who is actually a 'scheming seller!')... anyway, after months of dealing with their peppered, dodgy, and questionable 'solutions', I did find that a 'contractor-grade' splitter did the job for us. Never had the issue again, and currently have a two-way splitter on that line. BTW, I just re-read your post, and if you have a 'three-way' splitter or more, try using a two-way, no matter the quality, your signal will depreciate less (signal loss in this case is comparable to losing less water through a pail because it has less holes in its bottom!). Hope this works for you--happy cabling!

How do i get stronger signal

If you are referring to a cable signal on your tv set, then there are several ways, but first off, how do you know the signal is weak? Analog cable signals typically run at 30 to 40 percent while HD signals on the same line can be as high as 90%.
If your cable connections are firm and have no fray with good cable runs, and is not longer than needed, I would suggest calling the cable company tech support line for troubleshooting. It could be their error in an outside line.

Sharp LC-46SB54U Keeps losing picture intermittantly

i believe your tv is getting overheated, possibly from dust getting onto the electronic components inside. or the inverter board for the lcd panel inside is going bad, alot of times it is the capacitors on the lcd inverter board going bad.
