Question about Whirlpool Duet GHW9150P Front Load Washer
I've replaced emz part number 461970200692 two times and again am getting the dreaded DL error code. I've tried the "unplug and hopefully the computer will reset" method numerous times. Sometimes it work but I think I've run out of the limited tries and either need to replace it again or figure out why is keeps failing. I've taken apart the replacement part and figured out pretty much how it works. My question is....which direction is the "locking wheel" supposed to be in when it comes off the line?

SOURCE: Door Lock
I took the motherboard out and searched around for
the crack with a microscope, I found that every one of the relays had
bad solder joints with micro-cracks around the legs. This did not
happen due to wear or vibration. It was just a bad solder job on the
factory wave solder machine. QC issue.
After re-soldering all the relays legs I have run the machine for a month now without any issue.
So there it is the final fix for the dreaded door lock F dl issue. and likely any other random issue.

My front loader has the door locked and I can't open it. I have already turned off the power and that didn't solve the problem. The manual says that if you try to open the door too soon after the cycle completes, then the door locks. How do I open it now? What do I do?

SOURCE: F D/L and F11 error codes
I have a Kenmore (Whirlpool) front loader He3t that begin having the same problem after 2 years. I researched the problem and tried everything. The door lock mech. and all wiring was fine. Finally I stumbled upon a way to clear the error. (It still shows up once in a while.) The following has worked for me CONSISTENTLY about 25 times.
1) Remove top washer cover.
2) Disconnect the connector for the door switch on the control box.
3) Reach around and push any cycle button (normal, delicate, etc.)
4) Now hit the Cancel button.
5) Reconnect the door switch connector to the control box.
6) Reach around and push any button again. The clicking stops for me.
7) Replace the washer cover and use normally.
Hope this works for someone else!
There must be something getting latched up in the control board. And it gets reset.

SOURCE: ''dl'' code comes on
the door lock switch has a solenoid lock to keep the door closed during cycles. if you tried to open the lid during a cycle then you may have damaged the lock and it should be replaced first.
if you still have troubles after that, then the control board may have an internal failure.
the lid switch costs about 30-40 bucks compared to 120-150 bucks for a board. try the lid switch first.
there is a test cycle you can run to check the lid lock if you want to do that also. but by starting a cycle it will do the same thing.
