It may be set to auto hide. Try moving your mouse cursor to the edge of the bottom screen. If it doesn't show up, try the other three edges of your screen.
Once located, right click on the task bar and choose "Properties" from the menu. On the window that pops up, simply uncheck the auto hide option. If the bar is already on the bottom edge, click on the "Lock the taskbar option." If not, drag the bar to the edge of the screen you prefer and then lock it.
PUT YOUR CURSUR ON THE TOOL BAR THAT YOUR START BUTTON IS ON. PRESS AND HOLD THE LEFT BUTTON ON YOUR MOUSE. WHILE HOLDING THE BUTTON DOWN DRAG IT DOWN THE SCREEN TO THE BOTTOM.AS YOU DO THIS YOU SHOULD SEE THE WHOLE BAR MOVING DOWN, PERHAPS FIRST MOVING TO THE RIGHT OR LEFT VERTICALLY AND THEN ON DOWN TO THE BOTTOM OF YOUR SCREEN. WHILE AT THE BOTTOM RELEASE THE LAFT BUTTON ON THE MOUSE, THE BAR AND START BUTTON SHOULD NOW REMAIN IN THE LOWER SECTION OF YOUR SCREEN..
Right click on the task bar (I assume you mean the bar that is typically at the bottom of your desktop?) Make sure "Lock the Task bar" is not checked Click on the border of the task bar drag directly from where you clicked to the bottom Adjust height accordingly
You are probably talking about the windows Task bar that normally resides at the bottom of the screen: . Two ways of moving this task ba, to top/bottom/letft/right position of the display:
Move the cursor on a blank/inactive area on the task bar, usually in the largest blank area towards the right, click and hold the right mouse button and drag the Task bar to the bottom of the screen.
Go to the Task Bar 'Properties' (You can get this context menu by clicking the left mouse button after putting the cursor on a blank/inactive area on the task bar) and change the 'Task bar location on screen' option.
It sounds like the the split screen mode in windows 7 has accidently been activated. you can set the task bar at any location, (top, bottom or side) by right clicking a blank area of the taskbar and then left click on properties. Try that and if things still arent correct, try grabbing the sides (or top or bottom) and dragging them to their correct location. (To drag....place mouse curser on edge, hold left button and move mouse to place)
Right click mouse on task-bar and under properties you unchecked "lock the task-bar"
in that window you can chose were to place it ore
left click on the task-bar and hold, then move the mouse to you`r left, right, ore where you want to place it and release mouse key.
