Win xp laptop won't run programs fro Start menu

Either your system is really corrupted, or you've got a virus. The only think that comes to mind is to go to task manager, find explorer.exe and click End Process, then click File > New Task (Run...) and type explorer.exe. This will reload explorer and possibly fix the issue.

Try hitting ctrl and esc. You may have inadvertently hidden your task bar.

Start tast bar disappears

Right click (hit right mouse button) on task bar and click to lock task bar and uncheck hide task bar. If you cannot right click on time before it disappears move pointer to the bottom of screen and it should reappear. Than follow above steps. If all else fails restart computer clicking on the F8 key repeatedly until start menu comes up , choose safe mode and when the computer starts up your task bar should remain in place, follow above steps to unhindered it permanently and reboot the computer it will start back up in normal mode and your task bar should be "fixed"

Do you me the task bar at the bottom of your screen? Did you try bringing the mouse pointer to all the edges or sides of the screen it may have gotten moved or hidden. If it shows up right click on it and check "lock the task bar" this will keep it from being moved and or right click on it and select properties and un-check "auto hide the task bar" Let me know if this helped, Thanks for using FixYa

How do i get the task-bar that use to be on the top of my my screen on the laptop when i pointed my arrow up there it would come down ?

Put you cursor under the "start" button or the area where the date and clock is. Hold the right button on your mouse down and then drag the task bar to where you want it.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response

Thanks, Joe

you might have change the location of the start menu or called task bar, try to press the windows logo key on the keyboard to show up the task bar. if it shows up you can drag it to the bottom of screen. if it is locked and cannot be dragged, right click on it and remove the check mark on lock the task bar.

Tool bar missing on computer

Assuming "tool bar" = Task bar
and your OS = XP
It's possible your task bar is hidden on bottom
just drag the bottom line of your screen upward
Check if your task bar properties are set to "hide the task bar" remove the setting

My taskbar does not appear when I am viewing web pages

It sounds like you have your task bar set to auto hide. I'm not too familiar with this brand of laptop but if you are using windows you should be able to follow these instructions to fix this. If you know how to get to the control panel (start menu) and click on appearance and themes there should be a task bar and start menu icon there. Click on that icon and select how you want your task bar to be displayed.

No worries.....!!

shutdown the computer.......... switch it back again and immediatly keep tapping the key F8 on the key board....
you would see an option called Advanced boot options..
-> choose an option safe mode using arrow key's and push enter.
-> wait until windows comeup...
-> click on start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools and System Restore...
-> Under system restore window choose the date where in your computer was working fine.. and click on next to perform system restore....

your problem would be fixed... and no worries... your documents will be safe
