I don't know what concave means

The curve of a lens is either convex or concave, that causes light to be focused depending on the direction of the curve.

So to answer your question, concave is just a bulging 'out' shape.

replacement springs for some hobby horses are available at local hardware stores. Look for a select a spring assortment, or a store that can order from Servalite. They stock them in their catalog. Otherwise a handyman might be able to shorten the overstretched springs to raise the front legs.

How do I avoid hitting the front tire with my foot? The distance doesn't seem big enough.

Unlike stirrups on a horse saddle, where you would hook your heel up against it, pedalling is best done with the ball of your foot. This allows you to use your entire leg including your ankle to provide the power. This might seem a bit uncomfortable at first, but you will get used to it very quickly, since it will tire you less and is more like the natural motion of walking. Placing your foot too far forward on the pedal makes pedalling more like walking on your heels.

Problem with objective lens

This is an air separated doublet (invented in the 1700s). Each lens element is made of a different type of glass to reduce false color. So if you get it back together wrong you will notice the bad image. Look at the edges of the elements the thinner one usually goes in front. The concave surface of the rear element should also face front. With the plastic separation ring in place the convex surface of the front element should not come into contact with the rear element's concave surface. It shouldn't rock, there should be about 1mm air separation between them. On shorter focal length refractors (under 500mm) the front surface of the front element has less concavity that the rear surface. On longer focal lengths they are about the same. All I can say is try this and if the image isn't that great flip the front element and try it that way. And don't feel too bad we've all learned the hard way to mark the edges of the elements as we take them out. HTH

Where do I put my foot

and am hoping to get some advice on foot position. What part of the foot should be resting on the peg? My bike has a relatively upright riding position and I can't really decide. Is the heel supposed to be directly on the peg or is the peg supposed to be in the arch of the foot (in front of the heel of the boot)? The bike is really comfortable overall but my right ankle has been sore because I can't seem to figure out what's comfortable. I know it's probably a matter of what is most comfortable for the rider, but does anyone have any suggestions?,I would not recommend putting your heel on the peg; it can easily slip off and you will have little ability to stand up on the pegs if needed. You will probably get differing views here, but I ride my standard bike much like I ride a horse; footpeg in the arch of my foot at some times just like a stirrup, and footpeg under the ball of my foot at other times; again just like in a stirrup. ,,,

Concaved out freezer door

If concave is severe you will have to replace door. You can try to alleviate a slight gap by using a hairdryer and blowing hot air on the gasket in the area of the gap....move the dryer in up and down motions and the gasket will expand! Just make sure that there is no ice pressing against the door inner first! Oshie
