Question about Samsung LN Televison & Video
This TV is not too old but when you are watching it the picture goes black but the sound stays on. I have replaced the T Con Board twice but same thing. I have tested components on Power Board and found no problems. When I unplugged the Power Board from the Main Board the back light stayed on and never did go off. If plug the Power Board back into the Main Board the back light goes off in minutes. Does this mean that the Main Board is the problem? Thanks in advance for any help...
You will need to check weather the 24vdc supply for the inverter board is good no drop voltage. if no supply check the power supply board. then you should check if their is a inv_on signal at the power inverter board around 3v-4.4vdc . if goes out during power on tried to disconnect the supply going to the inverter board to ensure if their is a shorted parts in the inverter board. if the inverter_on signal also goes out even with out inverter board connected that was mean you have problem in the processor board.

SOURCE: TV SCREEN GOES BLANK
Yes your inverter is bad, I have the same problem my set is about 1 and 1/4 years old. Because Olevia makes a terrible product there inverters are attached directly on to the panel, which means they will only sell the inverter along with the panel i.e $700+ to replace + $100 dollars labor if u don't know how to fix it ur self. I am currently searching to find the manufacture that makes the inverters because olevia will not disclose that information. I believe it is darfon, if so the inverter should cost about $150-200 depending. If you dont believe you can fix it ur self ur best bet is try and sell the set for scrap take ur $100 or so dollar and buy a quality product! Oh and dont call there support they will tell 10 different things before u find out this long for seen truth!

SOURCE: Screen goes completely out.
when it blanks out, tuen the lights out in the room, and shine a flash light at the screen, see if you can see the picture, if you can, it is the inverter moard blamking out, thats the board that lights the back lights, if you cant, hit the input button on the remote, if the TV comes back with a picture, it is a problem with the main board, in paticular the componant input on the main board

This unit should still be under warranty and should be taken in for warranty service. Any attempt to access the interior will void the warranty. It is important that a complete description of the problem like you entered here be taken along when you bring the set in for service. This will insure that the servicer be able to reproduce the problem and resolve it.
From your description (and as a servicer), I would be looking for a component that is heat sensitive. These types of problems are fairly easy to locate and resolve.
Please take this in for warranty service and update this when you find out the details.
