My kenmore elite total care system top load washe is only using hot water and not the cold or warm. Both the nozzles are on. please let me know why i cannot use the cold water

sounds like you have a bad water valve,,either that or a bad water temp select switch,(doubt that). way more common is a bad water valve.

This issue can either be due to the suspension rings or due to motor issue. Please check this link for exploded diagram of your washer---

Also, check the stator motor and the retainer, make sure no parts are missing. Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.
