Question about LG Televison & Video
I have a LG RU-52SZ51D 52 inch projector TV and it has the ghost problem in the picture but the menu look options look perfect like brand new. I do not have the original remote I am using a universal remote and at the moment works very well with the TV and allows me to assess some menu options that a know about like resetting the lamp counter (hold enter on TV and hold Mute in the remote and EZ ADJ Mode hold menu on TV and hold menu in the remote. I am trying to auto reset the convergence or where can I find it in the TV menu. I downloaded a service manual but it does say anything about the convergence adjustment.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: Frozen digital screen
Set TV to standby and press Info, menu, mute then power. The set should turn on with the service menu available scroll down until you select reset press right hand arrow next to enter and then enter. TV will turn off. When switched on it goes into Plug and Play mode to reset the analogue and digital tuner. Allow a full reset then you should be ok.

Program the RCA remote with the instructions below, this will tell us if the problem is with the remote or the tv.

SOURCE: need help
ensure the tv is in analogue mode, not dtv and turn it off. with the remote: press info then, menu, then mute then power. these buttons need to be pressed sequentially not all at the same time and in quick succession. a menu will appear on the tv. navigate to the reset option and press the left arrow key on the remote (or press the enter/ok button) the tv will reset itself and turn off. turn the tv back on & it'll re tune all its channels. DTV should be working again.

You are absolutely correct. The reason why you cannot change your audio and video settings are due to the fact that you are in "Dynamic Fixed". Which is one of your many av modes. Av modes are different preset color settings and dynamic fixed is the only one that will lock your settings. Best Buy set it that way so that people could not just come by and alter the settings on the unit. AV modes are on all sharp lcd products and even though you have the wrong remote you should have an av mode button on the remote that came with it. Try pressing the av mode button and see what happens. When you press the av mode button, you will see your av modes change at the bottom of the screen. However, the issue still remains that you have the wrong remote. So there is a chance that you may press the av mode button on the remote that you have, but it still will may not work ONLY because you have the wrong remote. If the remote you have does not work, I GUARANTEE that pressing the av mode button on the proper remote will take care of that. If you dont want to purchase the remote from sharp, www.partstore.com is a good place. Good luck to you
