SOURCE: removing the dewalt DC925 'rohm' chuck

I have a DC927 and a DC926 that I removed 1/2" Rohm Supra SK key-less chucks on. This process is pretty simple. Put the drill motor in 1st gear. Put the clutch ring in drill mode and not in driver or hammer. Reverse or open the chuck all the way. Hold the chuck firmly in a vise and give the drill a good POP counter clockwise. The last step can also be done with a pipe wrench by placing the drill on a work bench and turning the chuck counter clockwise. Continue to un-thread until the chuck is removed. The replacement chuck must have the same mounting process and mechanism. Put a few drops of locktite on the threads and thread the replacement chuck back on. Tighten the chuck using the vise or pipe wrench. Place the short end of an allen wrench in the chuck and tighten down on it. Placing the drill on a work bench, strike the allen wrench with a mallet to finish tightening and locking down the chuck. Congratulations, you have just changed out your chuck.

SOURCE: Hi, I have a dewalt dc925 drill. When running the

They all do that a bit. The sparks when starting up and stopping are normal. If it has been used alot brushes may be a good idea but before they need to be changed it will spark quite a bit.

It will not hurt to inspect the amount of brush material remaining.

What is the best lubricant to use on my dewalt hammer drills please

It depends to where you want to apply your lubricant.
If you want to lubricate the chuck with the sds drill bit you simply add some cheap grease on the drill bit and the drill bit will slide easily on the chuck. On the other hand if you want to lubricate the sds drill machine then there is a special type super grease that you can buy from Dewalt in order to do so. Also since in order the super grease to be needed this means that you have used the drill a lot then also is needed to change o-rings, brushes and so on. So usually you have to ask for a service center to do it since they know how to do it properly and using the right kit.

So what is your question. It sounds like you have a bad battery so try it on another tool. If it works then the drill is not working or assembled properly if the same thing happens then you have ruled put the drill and there is a proplem with the battery

My dc213 18 volt sds drills is running slow am i right in thinking its the trigger thats faulty

Not totally. It could be the switch but I'd look at the motor first. Disconnect the motor and running with battery voltage. If it still runs slow it's the motor. Becareful with the switch it looks like a static sensitive switch and needs to be worked on at a static free work station. The motor part # is 492829-00 Cost $92.72 The switch is 368832-09 $ 48.91 . Those are suggested list prices may vary! Good luck!

How do I fit drill in this machine please? DEWALT D25113K D25113 3 MODE SDS

Youcan only use standard drill bits with the use of a chuck attachment with the SDS type bayonet. These hammer drills use an SDS type drill bit which just pushes into the fitted chuck and are released by pulling back on the lock mechanism on the chuck.

Strange wurring sound and slight vibration at full speed Dewalt sds hammer drill dw25003.

On most sds drills the movement of the beat piece inside the piston cause then to vibrate, even at slow speed, this is normal, the most speed the louder the noise and vibration., note: is not a grinding noise, it should be a smooth nocking constant sound, as so the vibration.
