Razr phone problems

My Razr V3 is a little over a year old. Whenever I try to go to the menu, call someone, or do ANYTHING else on the phone, either it does not respond, or the ring styles screen pops up.(ring styles screen -->where you can change the voulume) It won't do anything. The only thing I can do is recieve calls, and sometimes that doesn't even work!

- I'm sorry, I haven't found any solution to this problem. I can't master reset it either. If I get anything, i will let you know. If you find out anything will you please post it here?

-   i had my v3 razr a little over a year now, but whenever i try to type a txt message or type in the name of the contact i am looking for the whole phone freezes up, i cannot turn off the phone using the power key but i have to take out the battery instead.-   munkymacy

-   hi yesterday made a few calls and everything was fine. today when tried to change my ring style to soft (at work so phone can't ring loud) only pops up is the ring style. I used the phone tools to see if i could dial a number through it and it does but to dial with the phone itself doesn't work...looking for solutions all suggestions are welcomed.-   kay-ann

-   i just got my phone like around November i can only receive calls when the flop in down any digits on it when pressed it does not respond.only button that works is the on and off button help, i tried turning off and on, taking out the battery and placing it back in but no luck.-   at-ty

i had my razr for three years now and my little sister through it off of her bed, so every once in a while, it turns off and all i have to do is turn it back on................But yesterday my battery was going dead so i plugged it up and it WOULD NOT charge now im a sitting here with a phone that i cant even use ,because it is dead and will not charge!!!!!!!!

When I close my razor it turns off and all the lights on it flash.
And if I set it down to hard it turns off, the end button doesn't work, and neither does the numbers '2' and '8' , and its only 6 months old and I havent done anything to it.

the easiest thing tpo do here is take it to a professional but if you want to try updating your software off the Motorola website. (this require a data cable or bluetooth in your computer) This fixes a lot of software problems with the razor. If this doesn't work then you will have to reflash your Firmware which is like the Windows Xp of the phone. This does require a professional as it can destroy the phone

Mine does the exact same thing, another site says its from water or corrosion damage. Warranty doesn't cover it. Mine did it after a few drops of rain hit the number pad while I was walking to my car.
They say a professional will have to fix it.
let me know if you here something different too.

I had mine for 11/2yrs. Constant dropped calls,
then the GLUE! yes the glue started coming off the phone making it unusable. No Tmobile will not help and Motorola well, read the website.
Last purchase of a Motorola.

Hi Mosmo - Did you happen to find any solution to this problem? My phone just started doing the same thing yesterday and it is only 1 year old (and 9 days) since I've had it...I tried calling my phone company and they weren't able to do anything for me and I can't do the Master reset suggested by other sites (and above) because the BUTTONS DON'T WORK!!! :-) Let me know if you were able to find a solution!! I had a similar problem w/ my Razr. I called T-Mobile to help. They recommended a Master reset and this is how I did it. As I could not scroll, I took the battery out and reinstalled it. When I powered on, it asked if I wanted to "Customize" and I replied "Yes". I then navigated the following : Home Screen (select); HOME kEYS (Select);Icons(Select) - Hide. Then exit out. Now you can push the center button on the scroll pad and then use the volume keys on the left dise to navigate. Navigate to Master Reset and select. The code (at least for the T-Mobile units) is " 000000 " (6 zeroes). Hope this helps, but I still cannot use the scroll pad to navigate and am trying to find out if there is a remedy or recall for this.

Had some of the same problems with razor phone. Screen conctantly blacks out; not it is totally black. Contacted AT&T and they said the phone gotten water in it. I can call, but can not see numbers dialed; can receive calls, but can not see numbers."Will not" buy another razor. It is not worth the price. They are only interested in selling contracts, not customer service.
