I believe that option is on your monitor. Just connect and select input.

Maybe your BIOS switched to VGA output, try plugging in another monitor which has VGA input and change settings in BIOS for default output to DVI.

firstly you should be able to use a vga monitor by default no matter what you are doing. If you can borrow one from a freind or have one if you dont have any signal with vga *********** board is not booting. vga will be in rage even at it lowest settings.Does the vga say out of range. And is this a video card or is this card on the motherboard or both.

I have new intel dh55tc . I get display through nvidia graphics card . can I get display through vga.

Hi.

You can get a display through > DVI, VGA, HDMI which are on-board. You can also use the nVidia card which may be better.

My MAC G4 display has green and pink vertical streaks.

1. Try on another monitor to rule out VGA card.
// If overclocked return to default values, disable automatic overclocking if selected in BIOS, check cooling

2. Try another cable, if both VGA and DVI connections exist try switching between them ( cables )

DVI output problems with Acer Veriton M464

If you are comfortable with opening the case, you can try this: Unplug the power supply, make sure are constantly grounded (touching metal)remove add-in video card. Locate the "Clear CMOS" jumper (usually 3 pins in a row with two shorted via a plastic jumper). Remove the jumper and short the other 2 pins (if originally pins 1-2 with 3 open, short 2-3 with 1 open) for a few seconds. Then replace on original pins. Plug monitor into motherboard video port and power on. If it works, you can leave as is or try to re-install your video card following the same precautions when opening the case and probably changing BIOS settings to utilize the add-on card.

Monitor says No signal digital

Is ether the monitor or video card uses both DVI or VGA port. There may be a switch on the graphic card that changes it from DVI to VGA, often outside the card.

Also is the computer monitor set to the right setting if it can use both VGA and DVI, if using DVI (of any type) it need to switch to digital, and if using VGA it need to be set to analog. This may be a physical switch or using the settings button. (see manual how to change them)

PS: VGA port is a blue D shaped port with 15 pin holes, and DVI is a white rectangle port with one port being a line.

Lets see the cableing..

So you have a mac with a mini-dvi slot, you have a mini-dvi to dvi adapter, and then Dvi to vga adapter which connects to the tv?

The mini-dvi to dvi adapter doesn't have the analog VGA signal your tv needs. If I understood right.

Apple's mini-DVI to DVI-D cable does not carry the analog signal coming from the mini-DVI port on the Apple computer. This means that instead of buying a single mini-DVI cable from Apple and using a cheap DVI-to-VGA adaptor when you need VGA output, you must purchase another mini-DVI cable from Apple.

Mag monitor doesn't display bios post

I have no experience with the DVI links because such technology is still unavailable here in Argentina. We have DVI video cards but finding a suitable DVI monitor is another (long) story.
I think that your card (that has 2 DVI ports) is initializing one port first (the primary one) and then, when windows starts, it initializes the other and outputs video from both ports.
Try connecting the monitor in the other DVI port.
If your card has a VGA output, the VGA gets initialized first.
