I.have a sears weedwhacker 316731970 that has no resistance when using pull starter

If the engine has no compression(resistance), it may have a bad head gasket or piston/cylinder damage. If you remove the exhaust muffler on the engine, you can see the piston thru the exhaust port to see if it has damage. Remove the spark plug from the engine and pull the starter rope slowly while looking into the exhaust hole (the area that the muffler was just removed from). If the piston is good it should look like just a round piece of clean aluminum with a few piston rings on it. It the piston is bad it will probably have many vertical scratch like lines on the lower half of the piston. The piston may also have multiple metal looking colors other than aluminum on the lower piston. It is common for many to damage the engine by mixing the fuel/oil mixture with to little oil or even the incorrect oil type.

Help it lights up but no heat.

Dont use it! You need to pull the cooktop and see what is wrong. There is a chance that the circuit for the surface light is the only standing circuit left because the heating element is bad or loose

Have a microwave oven Litchenaid model # KEMC307. The light bulb doesn't go on anymore and we would like to replace it. I assume it is a halogen with 2 prongs that pulls out but it is very hard to get a...

Ok, pull the oven out, remove the 2 screws on side trim of oven, remove the screws from trim under oven, now above the oven, remove the other 2 screws behind the grill. This should give you enough room to pull the unit forward. The bulb is on top. Hope this helps.

My oven won't heat up properly

wire brush the oven pilot light orifix flame may be lessened due to carbon buildup then when oven lights its convextion pulls the pilot flame away from thermal coupling with shuts off gas (in case wind blows it out, it will STOP the GAS FLOWING. if the pilot full size (near 3/4 inch tall) then just try to position the thermal coupling nearer the flame (not right on it)

BM - After Self-Clean Problem -- 30

Brain, check your thermal fuse first. You can do this at the board. lower oven, p26-2 orange or p26-4 red wire to red wire at the terminal block. Should show closed circuit. Upper oven, p18-4 red or p18-1 red to red wire at terminal block. Should read closed circuit. If open, there is your problem. Control transformer is as follows, primary windings, P16-5 red to p16-7 red, 75 to 95 ohms. Secondary windings, p16-2 blue to p16-3 blue , 2 to 4 ohms. I do believe your problem is in the thermal fuse on the back. Post back, Catriver

Door is locked- F53 Error need to replace the lock, but first you need to get the darn think open. I looked at it, couldn't figure out how, and left it. My 14 yr old starting looking at it (after the kids had their TV, Ipod, etc taken away from him for the weekend.....) and he took a coat hanger from the side to pull the latch open.
The rest is straightforward sheet metal disassembly except for the front panel...label the connectors with a piece of tape before you pull the cables connecting the front panel (unless you are able to read a schematic). You can buy the part from
AP2836100 (486324) Latch, door (microwave)
for about $ day delivery, and your ready to cook your Christmas goose!
