SOURCE: can i tether my black berry curve 8330 to my ps3?

You would have to have modem capabilities on that phone if you don't then it will not work at all call your service provider to see if you have these capabilities just be warned it could cost you a lot of money to use it as a modem depending on your phone package.

Tether phone laptop

You do not mention if you have an iphone or android phone (or your provider, or how old the phone is) so it is difficult to tell you exactly how to handle this. First I would talk to your cell phone provider and see if they have a solution - which they very well might. Most of the providers have hotspots built into their phones these days.

If they do not, search in the Play Store for Android or the Apple Store for iPhone and look for tethering. Alternatively, you can check this Google Search out and see if something here will help you: https://www.google.com/#q=tether%20phone%20to%20computer

Keep in mind that tethering your phone to your computer may be against your provider's TOS (Terms of Service) and it may get you in trouble with them.

Hope that helps!

I'm trying to connect to the Internet on another computer using my Internet tethering on my iPhone.... Usually I plug it in my computer and it comes up Internet tethering on my iPhone straight away with no...

Your other computer is expecting to see a wireless network, and the SSID is the wireless network 'name'. You probably need to reset this to go to the internet via your mobile rather than the wireless network.

Can the iPhone internet tethering work for the ps3

Probably not, for two reasons:
1. Tethering usually involves use of a PC or other device which has software to enable the tethering on the phone.
2. Even if you were able to get this working by sharing a connection from a PC to a router or other network hardware, you run into an issue of latency. A hard wired connection such as a cable or DSL modem has very low latency, where a 3G connection isn't quite as quick to react.. Think of latency as a "reaction time". When playing an action game, latency means that there will be a delay before your action is seen by other players, and also a delay before their actions are seen by you. Even if that latency is only 100 ms (1/10 of a second), it still isn't quick enough to provide a realistic interactive environment.

I hope this helps to answer your question.
