Scan 'n Sew is hardware used to transfer embroidery designs from your computer to the machine's card so that you can embroider that particular design. I have one and love it. It will send a template to your printer as well as the design to the card. It has other functions that I don't use because I use another program to edit designs (Embird).

SOURCE: janome 9000

On the bottom of the machine is the base plate, remove it. You will see a black box (the transformer) that needs to be dismantled. Once inside you will see 2 fuses, one will be blown.
Replace the blown fuse, do not remove both fuses at the same time and get them confused.I bought replacements at Radio Shack. Good Luck

SOURCE: the LCD screen on my janome 9000 sewing machine

Either the bulb has burned out or you have accidentally turned the control to darken the screen. Look in the top where the feet are stored. You should see a half moon shaped valve on the inside edge of the top front - that is the control for the brightness/darkness control of the screen.

Janome Instruct manual

Janome has the manual for the MC 9000 on their site: http://content.janome.com/documents/File/ManualFile/inst%20book%20MC9000.pdf . (This is a discontinued machine.) Other sewing machine manuals may be available from the Janome site or from a dealer.

I hope this helps.

How do you scan a pattern into a scanner memory card for a Janome 9000

you will need the old scan and sew that came out with the machine. they are often on ebay. I had one for the 8000, but found the pattern very primitive compared to the discs you buy.
These days , you may be able to get some software that allows your computer to convert images to .SEW, which is apparently what these janome machines uses, but I would do some research about this first

call the people who made your computer (hp, dell) and ask for a down grade to XP and that will solve most all your problems that you will have with vista. vista has built in things that you will not be able to run alot of your programs on.
