Question about Dell Inspiron 2650 Notebook
I would like to wipe my hard drive clean and start over again. I have cd's to install software. Is there a disc or download that that will reinitialize my computer?
You should have a CD that says something like OEM CD. Or OPERATING SYSTEM. Put that disc in and reboot your PC. You should see a prompt to press any key to boot from CD. Press enter and follow the prompts to reinstall your operating system... If you don't have that CD you'll need to purchase one from the store or look at installing a free Operating System like Linux. Option 3 (less likely) You have a recovery partition installed and you should see a prompt during boot up that says "press F10 to start recovery" in this case all of the information on that CD is store in that partition on your HD.
