Question about Everex StepNote Computers & Internet

1 Answer

My everex notebook crashed and I dont' know how to reboot it without losing all of my data.

My laptop crashed and now a black screen with white words keeps showing "Reboot and Select proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key." I would really like to get my data off of this computer even if it won't work again!

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: my asus ul50a notebook powered

You will need to reinstall the operating system (windows), the computer is not recognizing the current OS.
To do this you will need to purchase OS cd.

I have a problem with my sony vaio!it seems to crush when i move the charger!its not shutting down but the scen is off and then i have to remove the charger so it shuts down and turn it on again!plus it...

It sounds like a loose connection in the charger cord or the AC jack. If the laptop is pulled by the cord it could have loosened/damaged the AC jack. If you remove the battery and only use the AC cord does the problem change? if you only use the battery and no AC cord does that change the problem? When Power is removed, without a proper shut down, the machine sees it as a crash therefore the disk check and black screen with boot options.

Laptop screen has gone white with stripes

Not a good thing. Turn it off, let it cool down and try rebooting (hard reboot). My SONY is a model that has an overheating problem and it did that a couple of times before finally losing the video. They replaced the motherboard and it has held for awhile but is going again. Hope you backed up. I now always run on a cooler - bad design.

How to recover acer aspire 5738 when screens black

First - re-seat the harddisk and reboot the computer. If the computer does not boot up then reboot andgo into the BIOS configuration to see if the BIOS detects the hard drive. If itdoesn't detect the hard drive then it could be faulty.
Then the hard drive needsto be replaced in the computer/laptop, Windows installed and the computer orlaptop's device drivers plus your programs etc. to get a functioningcomputer/laptop again.

Hp pavillion dv9815 won't start. it just reboots over and over. shutting down each time.

take out the battery, then take out the memory. Put one of the two memory modules back in, and turn it on. If everything looks ok, shut down and put the other one back and try again...if everything is ok...then ok. If it doesn't work after the first one, let me know...

My Acer aspire one 722 says when i turn it on,"no bootable device- - insert boot disk and press any key.my laptop has no disk reader?

Wow, you're kinda up the creek without a paddle. Never buy a laptop that has no CD Drive, you'll get burned when it crashes.

You need a drive now to insert a system disk or repair disk to get around this problem. Without it your only option will probably be to do a System Recovery which takes your system back to when you first bought it. You'll lose all your data.

Computer crashed

have you tried using "LAST KNOWN GOOD CONFIGURATION"?When you first turn it on keep hitting "F8",use the arrow keys to go to last known good configuration then click enter. If it does do the same thing you can reload OS without losing all data, dont partition or format just reload OS but some third party programs wont work because files are loaded into the windows folder. You would have to reload third party programs.

Do I need to use recovery disks or is their an easier solution?

This error occurs on notebooks occasionally after returning from hibernation, the sleep mode in WinXP. There's no option for returning to the Desktop, so you may lose your work. Use the option to Delete Restoration Data And Proceed To System Boot Menu, which will cause WinXP to reboot.
